  • isnt the black port normally the sub-woofer jack by default i know u can customize them to whatever u want?

  • where is the 3d quad cards

  • They still make audigys? geez

  • I think its funny he is saying the covers are needed because people like them to look cool. WRONG. The "covers" are EMI shields to help produce better sound quality with less interference.

  • @thelasthallow Still I dont think people want Covers because of that...

  • gold plating doesnt give you better fidelity. gold doesn't corrode like coppor does thats way manufactures use it. Its a big fat myth...................

  • i havent used a creative product in probably 10+ years. i think maudio makes more purpose-built products that arent over-hyped like creative. i wont say creative is a bad company though.

  • Paul quit giving away all my gaming secrets! I prefer people calling me a hacker when i hear them miss and i can accurately determine where they are.

  • anyone who has a sound card that likes alot of music would you recommend a sound card like do you notice that much of a difference yourself?(I'm quite picky about sound)

  • Creative Sucks. They still do not have 100% working drivers for Windows 7 64 bit and the Audigy 2 ZS. Why would I buy their junk if they can not support it?

  • It's odd how they call these kinds of cards "discrete" when in fact they are blatant and huge compared to the alternatives that are integrated into the mobo. They're not discrete at all if you ask me, lol.

  • @PTNLemay Discrete when talking about computer hardware means individual.

  • im a gamer who plays BF3 and RIFT! what should i get?

  • Hi Paul,

On newegg review, so many don't like this product.

Is it really worth it to purchase these expensive card?

good review and video but creative ... i don't know...

  • how much of a difference is there?

  • Hi Paul, i have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Card.

Where does that put my card in comparison between the one you have today?

next to the top or the cheapest one???

    Thanks.

  • WoW does anybody really use creative sound cards anymore? i mean most games now support Dolby digital and HD sound witch you can get from Geforce cards now. not to mention HD sound can only pass threw HDMI. the band width on optical (toss-link) and the rca plugs is simply not enough for HD sound. and yes most on-board sound now supports HD. as a matter of fact my gtx 470's HD sound is way better than my XFI is. and i had to PAY EXTRA for my XFI's DTS sound. LoL

  • Does adding a Sound Card mean I can set the sound quality in game to max without losing CPU performance?

  • If I wanted to have a bose Home Theater system can I put it on the sound card?

  • @Martinx88813 yes

  • @KhanTutorials Thanks so much man!!!! I always connect CD, game-gear, PSP, & MP3 to a Home Theater system by cutting afew cables & joy them togetter to make sound better... I never had bose & hope I will some day if not Sony Home Theater system will do...

  • @Martinx88813 always glad to help =)

  • @KhanTutorials Cool, thanks again...

  • It's WYLDSTALLYN!!! thats PAUL'S user name on eggxpert gotta love his reveiws

  • I thought this was gonna be about the new Sound Blaster Recon3D cards :C

  • i had the sound blaster x-fi titanium and didn't notice any difference from my onboard sound! NOT RECOMMENDED

  • @points2shopPROOF probably to blame on your speakerset.

  • @ThaTyger i have logitech x-540 badass speakers

  • @points2shopPROOF well there is your problem. A pc-surround system is not something to benchmark a soundcard with. That Logitech system is sattelite based set using the "loads of bass and volume" approach (probably what you like right?). Those sets use pretty cheap speakercones and electronics. Try again with fullrange speakers using a decent amplifier and you'll see what I mean. Audiophiles will not settle for a sattelite based surround system.

  • @ThaTyger haha thats funny, cant believe the guy considers logitech as a high-end speaker company. i better sell my martin logan and monoblock amp setup for this logitech 5.1 setup! :-)

  • Paul :fapfapfap:

  • When are all the new DSP Sound Core3D cards coming out?

  • What about the SoundBlaster 16?!

  • i have the last one, and it sounds soooo goooodddd!!!!!!! =)

  • what is best, surround sound via green, black and pink(?), or optical sound?

  • @Andykiller525 the colored ones are technically better if there isn't any interference... although to me they actualy sound the same...

  • i use a auzentech bravura 7.1 with creative chip, but better drivers.... creative drivers sucks.

  • paul

  • creative sucks

  • PAUL!!!!!

  • I would like if phail told me something about the very last product some more, becuase I am really looking to buy that one but I am not sure.

  • @KyoukiDotExe The Titanium Champion in my opinion is a fantastic sound card.

It supports 7.1 channel analog as well as digital surround sound through DDL / DTS Connect.

It has a PCI-E x1 interface. It doesn't need an external power supply as I remember (+&-).

It has a great software bundle that gives all the options you need (X Fi-3D CMSS / EQ / Voice Morphing Effects for chatting).

Another option would be the HT | OMEGA eClaro 7.1 Channels (better for music playback / recording)

  • @legendray2008 Oh nice detailed response, thank you. I have one more question though, does it have that option where when i´m on a VOIP program it mutes other peoples mic when I talk? Because I disliked that about THX StudioPro and unistalled it...

  • @KyoukiDotExe :( I am not sure about that bro .. you can hit the head-fi.org forum under computer audio to find out ;)

  • No auzentech x-fi forte? Always hear about that when it comes to the audiophiles, specifically for the amplified headphone port.

  • @t3hsniper

this is promoting Creative sound cards specifically so other brands wont be listed.

  • Comment removed

  • A question: The X-Fi titanium (2nd-last card), I noticed, has an IDE-looking connector on the back. What is this?

  • @TorpedoBench They are usually used for Creative's front panel I/O bays like the one Paul shows on the last card. But i honestly don't know which ones are compatible with this card.

  • give paul a raise

  • M-Audio makes the best sound cards hands down.

  • why do I feel an urge to buy a soundcard now?

  • The HD card's cover, besides lending a clean look, is also an RF shield.

  • Personally, don't get the Fatality edition of the Titanium X-Fi. Get the normal one, its about 30-40 cheaper and just as good.

Fatality version is paying for the name. It gains a few more bits and has a cover over it.

  • @Teldara well it also has the 5.25 bay add on

  • the titanium hd FTW!

  • Hey guys how about some thumbs up for our awesome cameraman Danny, No one gives him any credit.

  • @froggle611 Our?

  • At the end it was like one of those Japanese Films where they move their mouth but the audio isnt in sync lmao!

    Great sound cards btw. :D

  • Windows Vista????? 2:35

  • Meh. I'm fine with the integrated Realtek 7.1 solutions.

  • @BeSweeeet I'd be fine with it too if its 7.1 actually worked in my expensive gaming headset... :[

  • creative is lazy .. their software support sucks horribly bad

  • Y U NO include Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi

  • hah my xtreme gamer is discontinued

  • Asus Xonar DG for the win!!!

  • paul is alive =)

  • Paul time: :fapfapfap:

  • @Kerpaltheballer :awwyeah: :fapfapfap:

  • Would it be possible to have a similar video with all the brands that you guys cover?

  • blue port is also audio in

  • Paul, just as a reference the gold plating has no improvement on audio quality. It's used on higher end equipment because gold doesn't oxidize over time like other metals. The oxidation eventually builds up and lowers conductivity, etc. Platinum has a similar effect and is a better conductor, but is very very expensive and only found on the highest end gear.

  • I don't know if anyone can help me, but I'll try.

Up until now I've had 8gb (4x2gb) of ram. Today I noticed it became 4gb. After extensive hours of testing and reseating the RAM and CPU (so that ram pins will connect) and it appears that every slot and every stick works, yet windows still see 4gb (Just to note, CPUZ picks up 8 and bios gets 4). Does anyone know what the problem would be?

  • @OutlawLovesNewVegas whats your OS if its Windows 7 32x then thats why, 32x can only utilize 4 GB of RAM

  • @MatthewJGill As stated, it has been seeing 8 gig recently and it is Win 7 64bit.

  • PAUL!

  • @Astro247z WHAT

  • :titsorgtfo:

  • simon is a noob

  • Could someone tell me if its worth getting a soundcard for your PC ?

  • @wamasakyy depends i guess?

  • @wamasakyy Depends on how much of an audiophile you are. They definitely aren't necessary, as long as your motherboard can do audio, but if you have 100$ or so that you want to spend on your pc, it is a nice upgrade. A good sound card can last a long time. You could keep it through multiple pc builds. I know guys who have had the same sound card for 5-8 years running. However, I would argue cpu is the best upgrade. Followed by SSD.

  • Do they work in windows 7 now?

  • @VoVaKissCam I've got an older audigy SE card I've had for a few years, and it has trouble some programs under windows 7 64bit ultimate, but does ok under Win7 ultimate 32bit, and you loose the front headset/mic ports that are on the front of a lot of cases, unless you do some serious searching, and buy a special $30 converter cable, which is not worth it, Asus cards are no better, I think I gonna try a TurtleBeach solution next time I need a new one, and don't want to use internal HD audio.

  • @clays121 Yep, I have a X-fi fatality and until recently there were no drivers for windows 7....I finaly got the drivers installed with the card working, but havent tried any of the apps yet. Worked great in xp, xp64pro, vista32 and 64, but Windows 7, wasn't so cool.....sucks buying a sound card like that and then ur OS says NOPE. It was over a year till they fixed it...thats crap.

  • @VoVaKissCam ...Cont...creative sound cards kick ass tho, makes my video renders sound so good...it does a great job at the sound automatically, makes an extreme difference when recording your voice too...makes a cheap mic sound like an expensive one. I would buy one again, but I'll be sure to check for windows compatability...not that it will stop Micro-shit from screwing up the next release....I like to think there was a good reason, like fixing an exploit...but I doubt it.

  • @VoVaKissCam yep and also like I said, you also loose your front audio ports, unless you either buy there expensive front panel, or a special custom cable that converts to HD/AC97 audio plugs. Like I said till my next build I will stick with my onboard card, and then maybe give a Turtle beach solution a try, creative has dropped the ball over the past few years.

  • @clays121 I havent had any other sound card, other than creative. If I buy another i will take a close look at the options. I am using onboard audio, with this PC I type with. I have a capture PC connected to this one via HDMI and that has the X-FI, it is working but the front panel doesn't work, I never looked into it, I just use the back. I wanna try the applications that creative has like the mode switcher in that capture box, but I am kinda afraid to try..LMAO. (btw I like the icon C64)

  • dem cards :fapfapfap:

  • Those sexy hands :fapfapfap:

  • pauls sexy :fapfapfapf:
