Depends on where you live. Most of them are heading south for the winter. I still see a few stragglers coming by right now but they'll all be gone soon.:(
Hummingbirds have been coming to my feeders for tens of years, had nothing to do with any storms here in Indiana. I get them right after mothers day and they go deep south after labor day. I love them and made another video yesterday
I've never had so many of them before the storms. It was amazing to see all of them. Now, it's back to normal, just the regulars visit. Katrina and Ivan both tore up the Gulf coast, destroyed lots of their natural food sources and human feeders they were accustomed to. That's why we had a "feeding frenzy".
"After the hurricanes wiped out most of their natural habitat and food sources, the birds had no choice but to depend on humans for food." WRONG! They're ALWAYS like that, they're greedy s. o. b.s!! I'll eventually post a similar video I have of such behavior, although I don't have a program that accepts .mov files right now...plus it isn't as good as this one though ;)
LOL! They sure are greedy. Thanks for the compliment too. This vid was shot right after the storms, I'd never seen so many, like this anyway, before. I've not had but a few come by this year though. Looking forward to your vid!
I'm seeing a few more a the feeder now. It's usually just before they head south for the winter. That's when the feeding frenzy, as seen here, begins.:)
Thanks for watching.:)

Don't hold your breath on the vid ;) But yeah, sometimes storms do bring 'em in, think the most we've ever had is three at a time...
