I must disagree with the people who say war is pointless. This is something said only by idealists. It is simply a fact of human nature that people will fight against others for very real reasons that are almost always far from pointless. Whether it is land, resources, or a revolution for freedom or whatnot these are all rational reasons. People want to live and be free and it is often necessary to fight for what you need. There are those who will keep these things from you otherwise.

i'm actually anti-war, and while i respect them, i don't support them. i know they have their own reasons and views, but it goes against what i believe in. unfortunately, war is necessary until we change for the better. as mature as most are, violence is still sometimes the only way people think they can retaliate with. it also keeps overpopulation at bay, but i still don't agree with it, as much as it will inevitably happen now. i believe we just need to learn and change.

There are many interpretations of this. What I think it means is that no matter how good your intentions are, in war, in life, in anything, there's always going to be times you do something wrong, from lack of insight, or just being caught up in the moment, and you're going to have to regret it forever.
