    I am a dentist and there exists a brilliant software for demonstrating treatments on ios. unfortunately there is no way of desinfecting an ipad so you cante really use it in the surgery. a flat tv and an atv wold solve this problem

  • @Un6aBe3ii actually iOS and MacOS is based on Darwin which is a fully POSIX compliant Unix OS based on BSD Unix so....not sure what the issue is? You can hack the hell out of a AppleTV using ssh. Its a hell of a little toy for $99 for any geek to play with.

  • @btlowery Because not everyone owns both an AppleTV and an iPad/iPhone. This is a cheap way to get access to iApps at a low cost to consumers.

    AppleTV = $99

    iPhone = Lowest unlocked price, $375 3GS, $600 for 4S

    iPad = $499+
