Well like Ive said before, I dont use them live because they are not heavy enough to gig with and because it does not work as well as a normal double pedal for normal music for normal people. I used a dw9000 in all my other videos.This video was the first time I played it,and the reason I like it is because it opens up the chance to do hi hat work with the flammed doubles.If I would have done something cool with that then all the no video talkers like you would give it a chance...

i really like the way you used the pedal. it wasnt like most people use it. they usually use it to try to play faster or do triplets easier but that was tight using it to accent the notes and such. impressive :)

How does one cheat at drumming? For one, its music - all that matters is producing the desired result, there's no such thing as cheating. Secondly, its not a fucking contest dude.
Well, here's the deal. Would you fight somebody who had three arms? pretty fucked up that would be wouldn't it? It's kinda the same thing. The cheating comes in to play when your foot is doing 16th or even 32nd notes while the other foot is just accenting beats. now this is not hard to do, due to the fact that when you lift your foot, a bass note is struck, and then again when pressed down WHICH LEAVES NO EFFORT TO STRUGGLE AGAINST STUDDERING(an uneven double bass sound) it is a seamless-
perfect (and synthetic) doable bass pattern, without even trying.
Now..what will happen, because the other foot is not getting the balance and control conditioning of the other foot, the drummer becomes lazy, and reliant on the triple pedal, because it's EASIER.. ergo cheating. who wants to sit there (especially if your playing something complicated) worry about switching a lever just to achieve doable bass? If you train both feet the same (with accent drills for both feet) as well as timing-
- strength and balance..you can achieve the SAME sound with two pedals, and it will sound better, and you will be more impressive looking. Believe me, it's not just me who thinks these triple ( and quadro? lol) pedals look fucking ridiculous.

there two beaters on one side, like a double bass pedal, you have it set for the second beater to hit when the first comes up, then when you use the other pedal, it makes the third beater hit.

i am seriously considering buying one of these pedals in the near future, but i have heard that that dual thing starts to lag once you hit high speeds, is this true? what is the top speed you can push these with out them missing a beat or flaming?
I am not a speed guy,but I can tell you that the cleaner you play it the better it sounds.I find it harder to do things on it at a slow tempo if that helps you.
I'm fairly confident drummers are the ones commenting on this video, I'm also pretty sure you all know of Neil Peart. In his latest solo, "Der Trommler" if you pay close attention he has electric drum pads, which when hit trigger the sound of not one, but TWO hits on a tom. Is that considered cheating, or using technology to your advantage to do something innovative.
Cheating obviously, this isn't about an auto or manual gearbox, is about playing drums, letting a machine or computer program do part of the job is not playing, it's like attaching a robotic arm to one's torso and "play" with three arms, or adding motors to the wrists = cheating.
First of all, music is not a competition. Music is way of communicating an idea, an emotion, or a feeling to other people through means of rhythm, and melody. If you need to 'cheat' to communicate this idea, so be it.

the triple? i could see the single pedal that doubles up as useful, but this seems like overkill that most drummers would not use... but if you can pull it off, props to you!

what could possibly come out of using this pedal is that drummers who use it may not have to work as hard as they would have without it and will in the end be less rounded musicians..but really now cheating? thats ludicrous, are you suggesting that drummers using this pedal are not ultimately in control of the sound that the drum makes? And I reckon its very difficult to prevent the sound from going muddy.I'd like to see what it can do in a song though and how fast one could get using it

I found this video after me mate mentioned this pedal and personally i enjoyed watchin it. I just thought id leave a comment cos all the people givin you abuse and callin you a cheat and shit pissed me off. Theres no way to cheat at music, its up to your own interpretation,i just love it how people who have probably never even tried it reckon theyre right and know everything. Keep up the good work dude, i hope it goes well for you. BTW i imagine polyrhythms are quite fun on that! :D

i am seriously considering buying one of these pedals in the near future, but i have heard that that dual thing starts to lag once you hit high speeds, is this true? what is the top speed you can push these with out them missing a beat or flaming?

I am not a speed guy,but I can tell you that the cleaner you play it the better it sounds.I find it harder to do things on it at a slow tempo if that helps you.

My argument:
I'm fairly confident drummers are the ones commenting on this video, I'm also pretty sure you all know of Neil Peart. In his latest solo, "Der Trommler" if you pay close attention he has electric drum pads, which when hit trigger the sound of not one, but TWO hits on a tom. Is that considered cheating, or using technology to your advantage to do something innovative.

Cheating obviously, this isn't about an auto or manual gearbox, is about playing drums, letting a machine or computer program do part of the job is not playing, it's like attaching a robotic arm to one's torso and "play" with three arms, or adding motors to the wrists = cheating.

First of all, music is not a competition. Music is way of communicating an idea, an emotion, or a feeling to other people through means of rhythm, and melody. If you need to 'cheat' to communicate this idea, so be it.

I agree, but then we're dealing with other types of art, like the Animusic series (available here), which completely adheres to what you propose. However, part of the ART of playing music is using just your own limbs, this is why Maybach cars are so expensive, they are HAND crafted. This is the difference between Ferraris and Daewoos, Jazz and crappy Techno.

Ya know, I took the time to read ALL of the comments that have been made on your video here and I wanted to make sure I wasn't some fool who just glanced at this ridiculing this pedal for it being some "cheating", "cheater" or whatever most of you want to call it... I'm a guitar player, to let you all know, and I've messed around with drums a bit. I'm not impressed by the mere fact of you just throwing out something like this and being high and mighty with everyone's comments.

I've been looking into getting a duallist triple, and I was wondering, how long did it take you to get this fluent with it? Cause you have to lift your foot off of the first pedal for the double beater to strike don't you? It'd be a great help if you could tell me ^_^

hhaha. i love some of these rhythms, actually. some sounded very tribal (but it's probably just the sound quality). nice though. little too expensive for my taste. i have no idea what kind of double pedal to get though. i had a pulse pro double for a year and now that's completely broken. what's your personal favorite (besides this)? it'd be easier if you messaged me, but if you don't have time it's fine. peace!
