wow thats a really cool tank. i have two quick questions. what tempter do you keep the water? (because i dont know if white clouds can handle the water discus like because i dont want to put them in there and the white clouds die) And what kind of discus is the one that is blue with like red ish lines going through it, is it a red turquoise? Thanks
Wow, this is a wicked crowded tank, if you have a larger tank, say, 100g and 3-4 discus you can get away with water changes 1-2 times a week 30% if you've got the right filters. Btw if anyone is new to aquariums or experienced and wants to learn more, plantedtank is a great site for plants and fish, you can go to the forums for questions or to show off your tank :D
Brother i need some advice. Is it difficult to keep discus..? I am dying to keep discus and most of them scaring me saying not to keep discuss. What specifically to be done to keep discus healthy and long../ Advice me please
@roshan2946 They are not hard at all. If you have any experience keeping fish you know water changes and regualar feedings are a must. The same applies for Discus only you must do it more often, 50% water changes 3-5 times per week and 3-5 feedings per day of high protein food (frozen bloodworms/beefheart/brine shrimp) and pellets, I use NLS. Good luck.
@F8LBITEva Brother can you tell me how can i check the PH level of the water and if i needs to reduce or increase the PH level. What should i do...? Is well water is fine...?
@F8LBITEva thats the craziest thing I have heard yet! lol wow do you really do 50% water changes 3-5 times/wk and feed them 3-5 times/day?? That is way overkill IMO...
But then again if you have the time why not right? I probably would as well lol
@roshan2946 The only problem is, if they have babies. No one will take them off your hands, so you need to get fish that eat eggs but not all fish get along with the discus.
You have some really nice tanks!! I was wondering if that is a specific brand of sand you use in your tanks? I use gravel, but after seeing your tanks with the sand, im thinking about switching and using sand:)
@Gravitysea Sorry I just saw your question. I use pool filter sand in all of my tanks. Its $8 for $50Lbs and it sinks immediately and hardly clouds your water. I highly recommend it.
cool fish

@roshan2946 main thing is keep your filters clean, have two bio filters - plenty water changes .no nitrates bad bacteria
