When any person dies, they are either saved or lost, there is nothing in between. You say you were a Baptist, you should know something about salvation. Purgatory is catholic tradition, and NOWHERE in the Bible.

The magisterium just means Teaching office, and no its not Limbo( which by the way the Church does not use that word anymore but it was a thought of the early Fathers of the Church. No priest are not guaranteed Heaven and would not be surprised if there were millions of priest in Hell. Purgatory is Just cleansing your soul of any stain of sin before facing God 1Cor 3:12-15 .

@JesusHoldMyHand1 brother I taught the bible when a Baptist for years verse by verse, Cover to cover over 15, 16 times and now I do this in the Catholic Church that Jesus started, what an honor that is. Most of my hatrered come for 2nd source that the Church taught and never heard it from the horses mouth. I was told "The Catholic Church teaches this and that" but never "The Catechis of the Catholic Church says" (the true teaching and documents of the Church)I also agree with what you said Amen!

NO, they are not. Rev 3:8-9 God is going to make people bow down to people right? well is he making people sin if he is then hes also an Idolater.

@luap123311 Don't be discouraged if the Rapture doesn't happen this year, next year or in the next 20 years. Christ told us to always be watching because we don't know when He will come to get us. I've been looking for Him for over 45 years. Everytime there has been a world disaster, evil leader, countries overthrown, etc, we thought the Rapture was going to be in the next hour. His timing is perfect and He will come to get us. If we die before the Rapture, we go to the Lord immediately.

They also preached the Rapture in the 2nd Century, 3rd Century, 4th Century, etc. The only reason why it seems so new is because Israel was not a nation for 1,900 years, not everyone could be killed that lived upon the earth, "I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling for all nations", increased earthquakes, famines, murder, etc
@JesusHoldMyHand1 Amen brother I agree with what you read about the bible but I disagree with your fallible interpretation. 1Cor 15:51-53 is talking about the Second coming when Jesus comes IT WILL BE THE LAST DAY.There is no room for a Rapture. 1Thess 4:14-18 is talking about a Jewish custom. we do this too, When the president visits a small town, Most of the People go and greet the special person they where wait for in this Jesus.

Don't get me wrong brother there will be a Rapture of the Church but its not how Tim Lahaye tells it, It will be the very last day off humans. @luap123311 The Catholic Church teach that there will be a Rapture BUT only at the last day of the world. If you read all of JOHN 6 it says the last day. Rev 7:14 says that there are people in heaven how survived the persecution by the antichrist. How about the serpent in Numbers 21:4-9 and it wasn't till king Hezekiah was told by God to put it down, But that was over 800yrs and only because people started to worship the serpent. So for over 800Yrs God did not have a problem with the statue ITS THE WORSHIP OF IT.

When someone is square dancing & bow to their partner, is that person worshiping the one they bowed to? Whatever luap thinks is talking to him, god or psychosis or otherwise, isn't doing a very good job of picking a prophet by picking someone with almost no voice. @luap123311 Don't be discouraged if the Rapture doesn't happen this year, next year or in the next 20 years. Christ told us to always be watching because we don't know when He will come to get us. I've been looking for Him for over 45 years. Everytime there has been a world disaster, evil leader, countries overthrown, etc, we thought the Rapture was going to be in the next hour. His timing is perfect and He will come to get us. If we die before the Rapture, we go to the Lord immediately.

They also preached the Rapture in the 2nd Century, 3rd Century, 4th Century, etc. The only reason why it seems so new is because Israel was not a nation for 1,900 years, not everyone could be killed that lived upon the earth, "I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling for all nations", increased earthquakes, famines, murder, etc

@CATHOLICFORLIFE2000 Mary would be horrified at all the blasphemy that is prevelant in the Catholic church. Bowing & kneeling before statues (idolatry), praying to dead people (Mary, Christopher, Jude, Michael, etc), elevating a sinful person to be worshiped as God; (which is disgusting), as Jesus Christ is the Only God to be worshiped. I feel so very sorry for you; every member who practices these sinful acts are in danger of God's judgment. BTW, Mary WAS a virgin until Christ was born.

I too felt sorry for all Catholics in the world my that's because I thought I KNEW what the Church really teaches and I guarantee you that the Church does not teach what you think it teaches. If you think that Bowing is worshiping you would have to say that Jesus and John Idolaters Rev 3:8-9. What is BTW?

Yes Mary did become Joseph wife but way did the Blessed Mother say to the angel when the angel told her that she WOULD have a son, She said "how can this be since I Have no relations with man? do you think Mary is so dumb that she don't know how kid come to the world? This proves that she had made a vow to stay a Virgin and be in the thing of the Lord.

@luap123311 Brother I come from the Baptist church and believe me there is no Rapture and the Church does not teach the Rapture because its not true. Don't get me wrong brother there will be a Rapture of the Church but its not how Tim Lahaye tells it, It will be the very last day off humans. One thing that has to happen first is the Antichrist has to be reveal and Christians will killed (noting like we see today) or in his movies. stay with the Church and you will be with Christ. You cant take one or two verse and came out with something that is what Jehovah's witness and other cults do. Every church in the world takes a few verses and start a church but the Catholic Church take the whole bible together that why she don't teach heresy.Example can you lose your salvation? Most baptist say no but the bible is clear that you can, AMEN.

@luap123311 The Catholic Church teach that there will be a Rapture BUT only at the last day of the world. If you read all of JOHN 6 it says the last day. Rev 7:14 says that there are people in heaven how survived the persecution by the antichrist. The Rapture thing is basically that you don't have to suffer, No suffer for a christian alright! well not really, the Christian live is about suffering and if Christ suffer what make me so special that I'm not going to go thought that?

I believe that the Rapture will be here shortly as God has given me three dreams about the BEAST - the Antichrist - in the second dream - I saw a man 40-45 years old standing in the Temple in Jerusalem w/ a dark green suit w/ gold & green necktie to have his photo taken to show his great importance to the world.; has a well-trimmed beard & mustache. Had his right hand on his Throne- which had Expensive Jewels embedded into it & 6 Ornamental-Wooden Spirals rising to the top. REPENT while u can!

You do know that Tim said that Rapture was to be in 1988 and then said that it going to happen for sure before he dies, WHAT? I come out of the Baptist church and his stuff is well known in all baptist churches. Today I'm Catholic because the bible goes hand in hand with Catholic teaching. I was taught that the Church was the whore, the pope the antichrist, and Catholic was a Cult, I now know all that were lies, My ex pastor also converted and 120+ also came into Catholicism. If you trust the Catholic Church you will be in Gods hands if not then your in danger or a pastor taking you or your kids into a cult. That can never happen to the Church because if a Pope dies the next one will follow the same teaching., But if is the other way there is no guarantee the next pastor will teach the same.God bless

I remember my Mother saying that the rapture was going to happen in 1990. In 2001, I thought that the rapture was going to happen in that year because the Left Behind movie just came out. Now, I see how silly that was. How long are you going to wait until disappointment sets in?
