This song always seems to remind me of the blind melon song, mouth full of cavaties. The music itself is quite different although the lyrics are pretty similar, on how both Hoon and Vedder wrote a song expressing their feelings about their friend(or they truely singing about themselves??). Just my opinion (obviously) but I think that both of them were definitely 2 of the best front men in the 90's. Unfortunately, only Vedder continues to run with the torch.

This is my favorite bootleg off the entire 2000 tour, granted I only head about 5 of them.

And this performance, wow. Sometimes when they perform a song, you can tell that it's just not the night for the song or they already played it the last few nights before or they just weren't feeling it for some reason, but in this performance you can tell that they were really into it, at least Eddie was.

This song is about him growing up with a friend and when he became famous he became an "asshole" friend. He was always on the go and it's sang from the view of his friend looking at his Eddie's life. He stays for awhile to visit and it seems like old times again and before his friend knows it Eddie's off again.
