What a great sentiment..I always looked at this song, in relating lyrics to my own experiences whether they were the intent of the writer to convey or not, like the epilogue to a dead relationship. I first heard of Pete on the TV show Smallville. Back in the early 00's Smallville was on the cutting edge of new music. Sad to say the last couple seasons not so much. : (

Actually on Pete Yorn's Live from New Jersey album, he says that someone accused him of ripping off a Cat Stevens song for Crystal Village. He replies with, "that's bullshit. I would never rip off Cat Stevens...I ripped off Wilco with this one...a song called She's a Jar." And then he even plays the intro to She's a Jar to show how it was indeed inspired by Wilco. I never noticed the similarity until he pointed them out and played them together. Both beautiful songs.
