@sallyprue This is so old and I get the comment a lot actually. I will say that i was, for some reason, doing other things at the time I made this. I was half paying attention until the end that is. I considered doing it over, but I beat him so I didn't care. Look at some of the other battles to see a better judge of my skill.

@flyffman121 When Seymour does his element casting learn the pattern, he'll do it over and over again and then begin to use the NulShock, NulTide stuff cause they make you immune to them. I kept doing that with all of them using Yuna. When Anima came I used my summons (but that's up to you.) At the last part I too used Shiva for the fun of it. But this game is full of choices. Those were mine. Hope I helped ;]

Confuse is the worst status effect in any Final Fantasy game to be hit by. Once you get hit by it (most likely by a Malboro), you're gonna freaking DIE. I wish Square didn't have to put stuff like that in. >_<

this is what i came up with for the battle.

well first off yuna is vital if shes dead this plan doesn't work

1) I forget the order but Seymour does his magic attack in an order like fire ice water thunder with yuna's nullification you can easily stop Seymour magic until you fight anima

2) Use your aeons to take hit for you when animas bar is full, but besides that attack you should have no problem with him

3) when you fight Seymour again just do the 1st step over

anyone will do fine in this battle asl ong as characters have more than 1000- hp. one should keep using nullfrost, nullblaze, ect. after defeating anima, so that no damage will be made to characters. when anima does his overdrive just sacrifice an aeon...

You could actually steal away the potions from the 2 Guados so that they won't have auto potions.

(cont) Shiva's overdrive does a nice bit of damage, so make sure shes still alive to use that. Watch out for Anima's overdrive.

After Anima is gone, get Yuna to continue casting Nul-Elements while Tidus and another character to keep beating up Seymour. Use Tidus's Slice and Dice (if you have it) and any one of Auron's Overdrives to finish it off. (:

(Cont) When Anima's OverDrive is almost full, get Yuna to summon your weakest Aeon to take the hit. Just continue to attack him physically. After about half of Anima's HP is reduced, (Keep having Yuna Heal and Revive if needed), get Yuna to start summoning her Aeons . Each time one of the Aeons are hit with Pain, use a spell on themselves of the same element to heal, and keep attacking. Your new Aeon, Shiva is very hepful in this battle. Use Blizzara to heal, and keep piling on attacks. (cont)

This battle is really easy, as long as all your characters have at least 1000 Max HP.

Use rikku to steal the guards pots, then just beat em to death while having Yuna use spells or pots to heal your characters while they are beating the guards down. Also have Yuna cast Nul-Elements on your party to protect them from Seymour's nasty spells. After Seymour summons Anima, be very careful. Anima's Pain attack will OHKO any Humans. Just keep piling on attacks with Tidus and Auron/Kimahri . (Cont)

Lol, this was the easiest fight for me ever. I made the mistake of going the wrong way with kimari, so i had use, steal, curaga, and reflect. I had titus haste yuna, himself and kim, and then had kim use reflect on everyone. Everytime they casted a spell, like seymores multi-spells, it came back at him. funny stuff.

You should have had Rikku use steal on the Gaudo asap, then have Yuna casting Nul magic on the party, and then let Auron rip a new on in them. And Shiva on Anima=No chance to use Pains instant death effect.

it would be cool to have a game with something in between. ATB system battle, but engage a battle the same way as you would in XII. In other words, no random encounters as you can just pass right by an enemy.

I just hate random encounters, I've always used Enemy Away in FFVII and No-Encounters ability in VIII.

Actually character system is alot more simplier than in 8. Junction was really hard to get in to in beginning. I played with shit junctions to Ultimecia but couldn't defeat her with 5k hp. Started new game and looked some youtube and then I was with full junction 9999 hp. Instead in FFX I figured SG system in minutes. All 7,8 and 10 are masterpieces.

Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to make sure you knew something. If you steal from the guado guardians, it nulls auto-potion. Took me a couple of playthroughs to figure that out. =)

Your characters seem to be pretty far in the sphere grid. How much did you train before being here? I'm not even sure if I had the level 2 spells at this point. I did have Kimahri with dispel, though. Made this a bit easier.

yeah the first time i playes the game, my characters were all in the wrong direction on the sphere grid. lulu only had level one spells and i dont know, maybe 700-800 hp. somehow managed to beat seymour though, after trying about 20 times :D

I don't know what you can steal. I never really tried that. I do know, however, that if you overkill him, you get 2 Black Magic Spheres. And if you're lucky, you'll get the rare drop, which is 2 Special Spheres.

When i first played through this game (absoubtly ages ago) and got up to Seymour and he kicked my ass...i could not beat him after several attempts. So i started over (i hardley ever do on any games) and i bet him NO SWEAT the second time! He was SO easy...... now im like a pro at this game! keep playing and you will be too!!! Although there are M A S T E R S at this game who make me look like shit. So, yeah, nice vid, and dont go thinking this game wont get harder.... Good luck!!!

Basiccally, that fight is a bitch. There's little you can do, save for the trigger commands, & just good, old-fashioned beating the shit out of him. If you can get some armor that protects against poison or stone, that'd probably help, too.

Oh, & then later on, when Evrae comes back as an undead, just get everyone to attack him for the AP, then use a Phoenix Down on him. Instawin.

its a hard fight if you dont know what to do. Like you have to know that the ppl your fighting have infinite pots so you have to steal from them to undo that, or that after Anima is gone that Seymore somehow gets more infinite pots so steal from him again and that'll make is a lil easier... also have Yuna cast relect on everyone so his magic goes back at him oh and BTW his magic goes in a pattern so...

Don't be afraid to use Aeons, in this fight Shiva is your best friend!!

Kimahri is a beast (no pun intended) for this battle. Stone Breath overdrive (use lancet on Basilisks) or when Seymour goes to about 3000 HP, use Self-Destruct overdrive (lancet on Bomb). I used Self Destruct to kill Anima :D
