This is polka that most of us know from the Polish American Style. Here is info from Wikipedia: The Clarinet Polka (pl. Polka Dziadek; ee. Vanaisa Polka) - A Hupfats (Klarinett-Polka) is a famous polka composed in Austria, by a certain A. Humpfat in the end of the XIXth century. Its simple and catchy melody immediately conquered Central European "kurort-promenades" as well as it appeared on the records. In Russia it was known under the title - God knows why - "A Grandpa" (Died'ka).

@NarumiKenshin i wasn't trying to say that it never happens... i was just saying that it's rarer to hear a clarinet player with more experience constantly squeaking on high notes because they understand what their embouchure should be in order to reach the high notes, how much air support there should be, etc.

@LilMissSunshine956 -It is possible to squeak on high notes especially with a Clarinet. If someone is changing their embouchure, doesn't have enough air support, pinching the reed, or not having a wet enough reed can cause this. I play in a University level band, and I have seen it, heard it at our level. So anything is possible regrading that =P

... and the greatest failure of clarient music composition imho. There are thousands of great clarinet pieces/solos, yet so many people keep asking clarinet players to play "Klarinettenmuckl" - it's a shame.

Very enjoyable. Why should they do it the "cookie cutter" speed of everyone else.

Their tempo lets you get a better feel for what notes are actually being played. I like to watch a bird fly but I also like to watch a bird close up not flying. Same thing here.
