@VladimerPootis At least they don't have a weak spot the size of a fingernail that shows only when the enemy feels like it and isn't concealed by a fog so thick it renders bullets useless and blocks the fingernail-sized weak spot because you didn't fire into the right pixel.

i remember when the save room was like a little safe spot from the madness...

Its not that Re5 is a bad game, i enjoyed it my first playthrough but it doesnt feel like the RE I know. Umbrella shouldnt even be said in this game. Killing things gets boring after a while cuz thats basically all you do in this RE. RE4 was at least a little creepy but the main thing was the chapter select.

@Cerulian15 The chapter selection is why i traded the game in...it just through me off. i couldnt save right before a boss or anything. like when i wanted to fight irving, everytime i had to play through that little chapter where i shoot a bunch of oddly placed explosives (or just oddly placed Majini)

Its a good game...but its not Resident Evil...there is no nightmare...or survival in this game with the amount of ammo they give you. Yep...and those reasons are why i strongly dislike RE5.

@Cerulian15 I don't know why you'd want to save before a boss anyway, even in the old games.

I'm not sure what your definition of "survival" is but playing through RE5 single player, on professional, no infinite ammo, and only using ammo and weapons that you find makes for an extremely intense experience. In fact, it makes anything in the old games look like a walk in the park in comparision.

@Cerulian15 I like the classic games as much as the next fan but one shouldn't be afraid of change. RE4 and RE5 were incredibly great games that still had a tip of the hat to the old games. Personally, I like to embrace the old and the new and not get hung up on the evolution of the series - it's much more enjoyable that way. And bro, getting nostalgic about item boxes and typewriters? I honestly don't have a decent reply for that, seems a bit extreme.

@aweskermkh12 yea, people probally dont use typewriters anymore...FAX machines or something idk but same mechanics but more up to date. RE5 is a good game but its still not Resident Evil. Resident Evil 4 felt more serious and with the action it was a change that was good but it was STILL scary in some ways. RE5 doesnt have anything scary about it, and i dont feel the survival part too well when im playing. Basically I liked the Resident Evil series cuz it was Rated R...RE5 is like PG-13.

@Cerulian15 I don't know bro, RE4 and RE5 currently occupy my 1st and 2nd respective rankings in the RE hierarchy, followed closely by REmake and RE3 - they may be different but they are still RE as far as I'm concerned. Realistically, the only RE game that could be considered close to PG-13 was Code Veronica - no major gore, no dismemberment, no zombie decaps. That one had a good story but was a little lacking in the horror dept for a survival horror game as well.

Yeah, that's kinda why I wanted the same sense of desperation and high stakes. They are both great yes. Maybe they should've changed the fight so that the first part was a little longer and that fight played Deep Ambition and then there was a second final part that had different music that was desperate. I don't know. That would more interesting.
