Newbie Guide: Red Dragon

I haven't tried it, but I read that the dragon takes 1 damage everytime he flames the bridge. So if you get him going, then chill in a safe spot and leave your game running for a few hours, he should be dead.

@coltonexley I tried this last night, I was in the exact same spot as this video and left the game running overnight, I calculated that it would take about 3.7 hours for the Dragon to die taking 1 HP damage every round, assuming that each round was in 10 second intervals(give or take a few seconds, I just picked 10 seconds randomly). I came back in the morning and his health bar was full, so I don't think this strategy works. It's a real bummer though, because it definitely seems the easiest way

@Y0utubn00b ah jeez I'm sorry man. I think I might have read that for the U.K. version. They must've patched it for America's. I actually tried it with 200 arrows and a compound shortbow +2. I did exactly what this guy did in the video and it really didn't take as long as I thought it would. I still had about 60 arrows left after he died too.

Is there any way of killing the dragon with magic? I'm a magician and I don't have a bow.

I've only ever killed it with magic. if your a mage, stockpile a lot of spices (old or new) and hit him with soul arrow or other ranged attack from where he's shooting the bow. you have to get your timing perfect though. and your intelligence and magic should be higher than you start out with, unless your a royal, where it doesnt matter how much mana you have, as long as your fragrant ring is on, and your patient.

I tried killing the red and blue dragon sitting together at 1-1, but they just flew away and I was never rewarded any souls (they were never actually killed since they appeared again after I thought I killed them).

u need a ow and arrow soul arrow dont work and dude if u know were the broken part of the wall were u fight the first blue eyed knight at if u fallen down there the body has a light crossbow and i think some wooden bolts or regular bolt but anyways yea this message is answering those questions of urs ok guys

@Agumon2509 Soul Ray would be the better option. I can usually kill him in ten minutes with Soul Ray. I also have the Kris Blade +4 with magic and intelligence around 53 and 54. I'm also on NG +3. I forgot to mention that I have the monk's hat, along with the ring of magical sharpness.

Kill the leechmonger in 5-1 (Easy, easy fight). Take the wrigling demon soul to sage freke, and learn poision cloud. Put the cloud on the bridge, sit back and watch his health bar go lower and lower with every flyby. You'll need to caste the cloud 3 times every minute or so, since it wears off

3 minutes, easy kill

@MrKaelWilliams I don't think you can. He just has too much HP. To make it take abouthalf the time, cast poison cloud or death cloud on him and it will damage him continuously.

@x3jaime5x if he's the red eye knight, then leave him alone until u lvl up. Go beat the boss, then u can give souls to the maiden in black at nexus to lvl up. Or you can look for the easy way to kill him here on youtube but it takes a minute or two

Do 2-1 next  and use the stone of empheral eyes in 2-2 and summon someone.

2-3 is the last boss and he's pretty easy.

So that it's easier to remember, people say (world)-(dash)-(level). 1-1 would be the first world on the first level. Basically the first world stone you get to, and the first level option. The broken world stone doesn't count since it's not currently used in the game at all. Supposedly that's either never going to change or it'll eventually be downloadable content (unlikely).

@Daikirai432 I found it easier to just shoot the enemies on the bridge with my bow knowing I wouldn't get roasted by the dragon :D Most of the enemies got 1-shot by me anyways. The Tower Knight sure was a fun boss though...

@Brandon5l9 yeah you can, you can find a bow if you go to the top of the second tower of this stage (the one in the video is the first tower). You'll find a Short Compound Bow or something like that, and just bring around 150-200(recommended) arrows. The Short Compound Bow doesn't require a lot of dex either.

You can walk back through the area where you fought the phalanx and collect any items you get from the monsters there. Or you can replay 1-1 as many times as you want.

Strength is 30 and dexterity is 24, though I believe you can wield it with less than 30 strength since you use two hands.

You can use the Clever Rats Ring and the Morion Blade to Buff ur attack when ur HP is lower then 30%, then get burned once by the dragon and use the Mokoto Sword or w.e its called to lower ur HP to the 30% u need if u have to then blast that dragon, was doing like 209 a hit i think. Of course ur not going to get these weapons and rind in the start of the game really...

You dont have to kill the dragon to get the items at 1-1 i was able to quite easily get them all the first time i got to the area. All you have to do it take off all your armor(or atleast i did because i was a temple knight) and just go to the bridge where that dragon flys to and as soon as you hear him take off once you go to the top of the stairs you just bolt to the area with the items. But dont try for all of them just take 2 or 3 each time then run back and do it again :)

You can also shoot the red dragon in 1-1, it will not even move, and before you take all the hp, it will fly away, and you can get most of the stuff there....

The red dragon is sniped in the first tower of 1-2, as seen in the vid. When it is dead, however, the items it guarded in 1-1 is then available for pickup without any harassment. Still leaves the blue one though.
