This show was awesome, but srsly, i think Jonathan coulda make his accent just a LITTLE less... well... INCOMPREHENSIBLE. its not always bad, but some scenes... URGH.
But AWESOME show. Also for the record, I love how he speaks, but I was getting sick of always repeating to my friends.
The idea that a star is born on the streets could have panned out over several seasons. But the hook of a bunch of kid mick brothers taking over the neighborhood ran by old school Italians was a s good as it was gonna get - after that it becomes just another generic mafia story. Broad doesn't get you seasons.
I think it would have had a more successful life as a feature film. NBC obviously felt the same.

@plzleave123 if you look you can find bad acting anywhere even the best actors have some crap scenes (have you seen Duplicity?). It probably would have gotten better if it was a full season.

If you watch the whole first season, it's actually not hard to figure out why it was cancelled. It had pretty poor writing.
