Gets rid of the air in the nitrous line.

kinda like how when you bleed your brakes you're removing air bubbles form its lines

plus, if the car is truly nitrous equipped, you purge the lines to remove the air and cool the intake manifold so you have a colder intake temp, also you can burn more fuel this way in order to make more HP...

the nitrous super chills the fuel which makes it contract, thus the injectors pump more fuel to the engine...
