  • hey man..where have u disappeared!?!

  • have you any views on Naseem Hameds career ? i wouldnt mind hearing it

  • ERIC CRUMBLE!!

  • Way of the new world man!

  • dogey referee

  • stupid.reff!....should.be.investigated

  • Disgraceful is right, the fight should have been stopped, he took atleast 4 rounds of unneccesary punishment.

  • Is Briggs ok now,? The last i seen was on the ticker down the bottom of Sky Sports saying he could be in critical condition.

  • Disgraceful is right man, the ref, the corner, the doctor did NOT do their job....the number one job of the ref and doctor are 2 protect the fighter at all times....if they dont then the corner is suppose 3 save the fighter from himself, from rd 3 on it was clear he coudlnt win, should have been stopped 9/10 at the latest

  • @SinCityMadman rotten display and waste of time watching it!...mma is already replacing boxing at most of my clubs now already unfortunatley

  • Already had 9 rounds of advertising, for real

  • @hawkermustang if you lose 10 fight in a row your license is taken away so not likely you'd see a fighter with that type if record

  • @truBoxingfan there ar many fighters with lop-sided Loss to win records, 3-35, 23-96, etc...look it up

  • @SinCityMadman Reading is fundamental okay I said if a fighter loses 10 count 1-10 in a row (consecutively ) there license is usually revoked so the 3-35 doesn't make since to bring up.

  • @truBoxingfan Go to Boxrec and check out Reggie Strickland his record was, won 66 ( KO 14 ) + lost 276 ( KO 25 ) + drawn 17 = 363 he last fought in 2005, and he once had lost 21 fights in a row!

  • @truBoxingfan It's hard to believe but ther is guys from England with that kind of record. They always have to keep going to a meeting with the BBBofC to get their licence back

  • @p4pedwinkhan It's true, check out Reggie Strickland on boxrec.

  • @truBoxingfan It happens bro, you can go to boxrec and see it for yourself. I remember looking at One guys record and the man had over 100 loses and less than 20 wins. I think he had last fought in the late nineties. There are many boxers with horrible records.

  • It's strange how us boxing fans worry about a guy like Briggs taking to much abuse in a title fight, but we never worry about the tomato can fighters who have a record of 12 and 106. These guys make very little money and are used as human punching bags for their entire career.

  • @hawkermustang good point

  • SHame whats going on with Katsidis brother hopefully he overcomes this loss.

Briggs team asked for the fight not to be stopped as they knew this was his last chance. Man I felt bad watching the fight after the 8th round, Briggs was taking so much shots, also on boxingrec I read that the ref was gna stop the fight in the 10th but was told not to by Briggs corner. Not to much really to talk about Klistchko was so dominant . It was round 8 or 9 when he collapsed into his stool.

    PeAcE

  • I actually felt guilty watching this after 6. I even had the sick feeling Briggs died when you were said "my condolences"

  • ur right, briggs was running the corner! his corner said so after the fight- they said briggs had discussed the scenareo at length with them, & warned them he would kill them if they stopped the fight! which makes u think briggs was actually expecting to get beaten up!!!

  • @HatmanTV lol he might've threatened the ref to

  • i read it might have been suicide or a drug overdose. but who knows

...btw boxinghistorian, how come i m not seeing you in the OTR chatroom anymore? you dont listen to the show anymore?

  • The heavyweight division is so bad & weak it's embarassing! The only fight I'd pay to see would be the Klitscho Bros. fighting each other. If they were smart , they would make it happen, they could both easily reitre with the money that fight would generate..

  • @Redd1587 there already rich as fuck and i dont think they'd be to keen fighting each other since they r brothers....

  • I was a little drunk when I watched the fight live and the only point at which I thought it would be stopped was at the end of the 7th. I was more amazed at Briggs durability. However, watching it again it's clear Briggs needed saving from himself. Really disappointed with Ian John-Lewis and the way he defended his actions or lack of by saying that it was a "world title fight in which the challenger was still throwing back"!!? Briggs barely threw or landed with anything after the 7th!!

  • yeah mark i felt kinda bad for Briggs even though im not a fan of his i was yelling at my computer stop the fight!!!!!

  • I agree mate and at times it was hard to watch as he was taking a lot of clean right hands. I expected Briggs to come out firing as he has done in the past but he never (Apparently hurt his bicep). It's mad when you think how Frank Cappuchino could easily have stopped the Gatti-Ward fight in that 9th round but let it go on. It's sometimes a fighters reputation that stops the ref from stepping in but in this case Briggs had no comeback nor any chance of winning!

  • It should have been stopped in the 10th im suprised at Ian John lewis, seen him so many times and don't remember him acting so shoddily.
