FANTASTIC! Wonderful homage to Willis O'Brien and Ray Harryhausen - the masters of this "extinct" art form. Great work on the animation and models. I think stop motion is still viable and more interesting than most CG animation. Would love to see another stop-motion feature in the tradition of KONG and the Harryhausen films-integrated with live action. It seems now the only stop-motion is in pure fantasies such as Coraline and Chicken Run. Too bad that CG is so heralded and stop-mo disregarded.

Yeah. It's also good to see an accurate T-Rex. Wouldn't it be cool to see a T-Rex face-off with a V-Rex? I wonder who would win. I usually like to think that a smaller Dinosaur would win over a bigger one - when you're a little smaller, there isn't as much weight to lift you, so you can run quicker and move quicker. You could be more cunning. So I think a T-Rex would win over a V-Rex.

Why not a saber tooth in 'Return to Skull Island'. I am having mammals in my version - a Giant Carnivorous Sloth, Sabertooths, Dire Wolves, Cave Bears, Mammoths crossed with Slugs, and a Giant Rat. Yes, you heard right. A rat. I mean, Kong was a mammal. It would be interesting to see some ape-men on the island, some other primates like giant baboons. Kong fighting off his primitive ancestors. It's like, "You evolved me into existence, so now I'll kill ya! Thanks heaps!" LOL!

Uh-huh. They do. I know, you need to have clear, flat ground to do stop-motion well. In my Previz for 'Kong', I thought I could put all my little army men in my graden, but they all fell over. So I had to get a wooden block, but you could still see it in the footage of course. So then I was trying to find ways to disguise it. But it is so hard. Better to make the locations for stop motion in ideal places for them to stand, hey?

I just don't know how to make sets.

Any tips on set-building?
