im from ny and the fam and i are going on a huge two week road trip in july. anyway, we are stopping by vegas and we are going to stay there cuz we figured by then we'd be home sick and we think that will give us a taste

Thanks, Betty! The only problem with LV is you never know which way to point the camera because there's something in every direction :)

The statue in Vegas is a scaled-down version and it's surrounded by buildings so it is easier to miss than the real one :)

Well, New York, New York makes sense just like Chicago, Illinois or Los Angeles, California. The first New York is for the city, and the second is the State that it's in... Waitaminute, that sounds wrong somehow :)

I have the hardest time finding my way out of NYNY, they build it that way on purpose. I love the Beatles in the background, the song was fitting. =)

By the time we got down to the casino and looked around a bit I think we retraced our steps and found a street exit. I remember getting a good deal on some neckties and I also got a T-shirt :)

No surprise to you Andy, but that is one of my favorite corners to stand on in the world- another favorite is downtown Las Vegas near Binions and Golden Nugget... very nice video and the traffic noise didn't drown out the video!

The traffic noise was not that bad at all... I also shot quite a bit of video downtown, and it will eventually find its way on here. First I need to do a bit of editing to make it interesting :)

In that opening shot Andy, I actually thought.... wow Andy and Cindy are in New York!!  Just an amazing video. Las Vegas looks incredible at night! Hugs!

That opening shot was of New York New York from a distance through the folding door of the shuttle bus :) I hope some day to make some actual videos of the real thing. I know Cindy would like to go there someday, as she keeps reminding me...

Thanks! There's so much ambience that the camera can't take it all in... I just randomly shot clips about twenty to thirty seconds long and put them together...

Whenever I see Vegas at night, I can't help but be glad that I'm not the one paying those electric bills...ha! The last time I was there I stayed at NYNY. Big place! Well, all of those casinos are big. So much to do there. Great shots! :-)

You take great Video's. I am working on trying to learn that skill. My videos are all over the place.

What software do you use for editing? I bought three different ones to see what is easier. None of them are for me. lol It will take lots of practice to get good like you.

Practice, practice, practice... I use almost the same software I started with back in 2006. Most of my editing is done on a Mac with iMovieHD6, and some of it is using iMovie08. When I started I didn't know what I was doing, but I learned as I went along just by making lots of videos, making lots of mistakes, and occasionally trying new things...

Ya know, i think one of the few good things bout my visit there, was the way it looked just about that time of night. Keeps your eyeballs happy for a while!! i stayed the NYNY but didnt try that coaster! :d Great crispness in your captures here!

Hello Andy! I will be in Vegas on 4/28 to 5/3... I have to admit, I LOVE VEGAS! It would be a big test for me... alcohol. A year ago, I would be drinkin' beers walking and strolling around, when its empty, go in to the casino and get another beer! ;D HUGE TEST FOR ME.. 7 months sober and still counting!
