well...."I am the monster of Piano and will eat you all"....says he...what a craft, what a technic, what a musicianship in terms of all of three.... but Richter...Richter... i but, still insist on the point that here the microphones were placed too close to Mr.Richter. and that´s why some our colleges think he is being brutal. in some episodes you dont hear the violin at all...one should hang the tone engineers here..

why Richter plays harsh, heavily underlining phrases that do not need to be...Music itself speaks !!! but it's a tendancy in his playing, unfortunately...listen to Rubinstein, Igumlnov, Horowitz...
