isotov...uniforms in germany were based on the prussian idea. from what i have heard EG grappled with this. it was decided to keep old uniform as it was cost effective. as was with everything in the DDR...if it aint broke dont fix it because we cant afford it...i always liked what they did with the helmets ...a 50/50 mix of german/russian no other helmet looks the same!

GDR wasnt totalitarian state, it it was state of workers and peasants, free from capitalist exploitation. In GDR people always were able to find job, while in fascistic BRD workers constantly made strikes and protests against predatory slavery.

Hungary is very poor now.Ukraine is bankrupt.Bulgaria too. and east germany lost 80 % of the Production capacity in 90-93.a huge blowback. unemployment rate raise to 30% in 1 year.
