  • This is very hard work and I salute the journalist because I know how things are in Burma and because I was born and raised in the country. He has made a lot of personal sacrifices in every step of his reporting. Once caught, who knows what could happen to him and his family might not even be able to see him alive one last time.

  • crazy soldiers

  • fuck the police they dont love their country

  • i cannot understand how much the police are crazy

  • 5.41 , we never surrender , then of us they should say never had so many owned so much to so few...

  • Great shame for Burmas dicteator...cause hit monk

  • THANK FOR YOUR VIDEO...............GOD JOB

  • es ist immer das gleiche.............das volk hungert und die junta besteht aus vollgefressenen schweinen :-((

  • I feel sad for the Burmese people. life seems very hard for young and old. it touches my heart to see little children homeless begging for food and money. but one day God will call their children to his side. God bless Myanmar and all the people!

  • I hope for all Burmese a good and better Future !!!

  • Where is worlds oldest and modern country USA is..

If USA can fight against SADAM in iraq because of dictetorship then why not over here in myanmar ...

Opps i guess no oil in myanmar ...

  • @MrSeriousFun

An' Iraq Army a bunch o' jokes. Tat ma fuckin' daw, deez fooz don't fuck 'round dunt think uncle sam's ready to risk it over these gangstas.

  • Queuing people waiting for food are not Burmese. They are Indian and Arabian. How came?

  • @yarzaryeni

there r chinese ,hindu indians n arabic/muslim in burma as non native minorities.

  • Myanmar is like the Philippines during the martial law period and the dictatorship of deposed President Ferdinand Marcos. Basic rights were supressed by military rule.

  • The Pro Democracy people must be very cautious about the government spy who disguise themselves as the anti-government. Actually they are informants for the government as a part of the dictatorship. That's how they continue to suppress the innocent people who want to live in peaceful life. In Buddhism, how can we categorize this kind of government ? Do they know what SHAME means ? They are belong to low spirits...

  • @naingthu76 The government don't care about religion. they only worry about the flow of money into their pockets. if they are religious they will at least spare the monks. and those undercovers are piece of sh*t that clinging on to a piece of sh*t. scumbs of all scumbs.

  • @winnn007

In braod sense, the bottom line is: the greater the hatred between civilian and military people, the more favorable for the junta to control the country and getting richer. Imaging how many innocent people died because of this system directly or indirectly (including unknown) They dont want the military people unite with common people. IF they realize they will turn into animals in next life because of their evil, everything will get better (HOPEFULLY)

  • It's like going back in time this country! Old cars, old British rifles...etc...

But god, how do the Army do it? They are so cruel, how can Burmese people do this to themselves by joining the military?

    I don't really understand Burma.....

  • 2:57 after all that, Nkorea is STILL worse.

  • I feel for the Burmese people man, the government is real evil. May God bless you Burmese.... Be free and Peace tomorrow!!!

  • The situation would improve if imperialist powers stopped selling weapons to the junta. It is the same old story where concern for profits far outweighs respect for human life. It makes me very, very angry.

  • That's capitalism.

  • real capitalism is dead. In fact it began to die at the beginning of the 20th century.

  • WAIT DO NOT POST READ THIS

    Burma also known as Myanmar

    IS NOT A SOCIALIST CONTRY

is is infact a military dictatorship

If you dissagree please go to wikipedia and look it up

please copy and paste this as a reply /comment to help make people a little bit less ignorant

i put this here just incase the ignorant squad comes here this is not socialism please spread this on any videoabout burma that might get

    "damn socialist"

    "socialism..."

    and other ignorant comments

  • ¿?? you need live in a war

  • Try and not be an insensitive douche.

  • well done

  • when i watch it...i gonna crazy cuz i know burmese people feeling..

  • I think i saw a few indian people in there?

  • i was told that the monks were all killed..is that true? ...theres no telling what could be going on in our country right now...i cant belive how corrupt our government is.

  • dude it is not true at all..you guys should open both of your eyes instead of being stereotypes..you know that our country is poor and you are just worsening the situation by going all out against the government. if you truly love the country you should learn to love everything tat has to do with the country be it evil or bad..it's just like parents and children...go and think about it!!

  • No buddy, not all of'em are killed. Government officially reported 10 death, but yes, ofcouse, it's more than that. The government is very corrupted but then again, people are also messed up too. The average salary of a HighSchool teacher is US$15 a month, so imagine how they cud survive. Everything is messed up. And you can't go to goverment and tell them to fuck off from their chairs, wht we need is a both win win situation for both side.

  • fuck the Generals

  • Gee...he went in too deep the City,yeah...the difference of poor & rich is very big in Myanmar, especially in YGN.

  • these people need a voice globally fuck the olympics i say everyone go to the us and uk embassies and riot

  • Thanks for your video. (We) as in Burmese people appreciate your bravery and professional journalism to broadcast this footages in the worst part of burmese history.

  • this video is sooooo heart breaking.

i can`t imagine myself out there.

  • Trade sanctions hurt people. Why does the west invest in China where there is no democracy? Why don't they send a troupe to topple down the military and help the people instead of encouraging them to revolt and die?

  • thank you so much for risking yourself to make this amazing video and best of luck to the people in Myanmar

  • Thanks very for sharing this!

  • A very touching video indeed.

  • Thanks you so much for your video. U r very brave that very dare to take the record when the situation was very worse that all the people running around to escape from shooting. That could lose your life. Be careful man. Thanks a lot.

  • I am very sure that we, Myanmar people are still very weak to attack the army. The army does not want peace, cannot talk to them politely to have a balance life style. Instead of protecting our country and people, they are sucking our blood to survive their long life. We do not help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We, Myanmar people need to prepare before fighting with the army. Army is very strong that they have fully weapons. We should have those items first. Do need to train our people to be as strong as army. Must have very good management and plan to protect ourselves and to achieve. How can we get the weapons? Who will help us?

  • Stunning brave filming

  • Does anyone know a good book I can read on the overall history of this conflict?

  • "China is paralyzing UN Security Council action on Burma. They are the main economic, military, and political supporters of the military junta. For 15 years China has refused to press its closest ally to allow its people human rights, and used its veto power to block the UN Security Council from acting... the UN is making the same mistakes it made on Darfur and Rwanda. We are calling on people of conscience throughout the world to boycott the 2008 Chinese Olympics"

  • What terrible news...

Thank you Tony Bitley for risking your safety to show what is happening there. God bless you.

  • I can't believe that we can only get these reports on Youtube in the US. Great work on this story. You have the most informative reports from Burma. CNN, MSNBC, Fox, NBC, ABC, and CBS are not brave enough to do the work that you do.

When will we get our freedom of the press?

  • Boycott china! Boycott Olympic china 2008! China is blocking the way in UN for Burma.

  • Well done, report!

Thank you very much for your report about what Myanmar people are getting suffering by brutal military government!

  • How are you going to stop an American battalion with any of your guns?

You can see how well the Burmese people have done here. The armed conflicts have been moved to the jungles on the borders of Thailand.

  • BruceleeKickYoAss1 is not a military dog of the Burmese dictator.

He is a Chinese communist clone! He makes a lot of comments on videos related to the EVIL Chinese Communist Party!

Do a search on youtube on "PLA" (People's Liberation Army of China), and you will find a gang of these human-like beings. Of course, they use fake accounts on making comments elsewhere!

  • You really think (if think is a word than can be applied to that) all these stupid things?

People, through all the world, be it Burma, be it USA, wherever, generally only want to live in peace and live well. Burma's Junta is only a bunch of fascists, and, as all fascists, will fell, sooner or later. I only regret that overthrowing fascists, usually, has a high price in blood.

  • Thank you Mr.Tony Birtley.

    I really appreciate your report.

Let the world know What SPDC was doing in their own country.

  • Shut up military dog Brucelee KickYoAss1

  • IJ went to Myanmar 3 years ago. I never started a conversation about the gov. however many burmese told me that the junta was stupid and bad. I was surprise by their courage

  • I've seen edition version of this video in CNN. May all the people of the world know what happened in Burma. Burmese people would not complaint the situations inside the own country. All we need is to remove the Junta control in the country. Now the world is seen this is the ugliest scenes of the beautiful country.

  • I really appreciate for what you had done. we will not forget about this.

  • thank you Tony Birtley for this very accurate, brave doc about Burma. The world needs to know what this brutal military dictator did to its people and monks. Thanks again for risking your life for it.
