  • The Earth is Flat! I don't believe humans have any influence on our environment, global warming is natural. Water quality is changed by mother nature. Air quality is a lie, the sky is infinite. You can't blame Me for Your fear of Nature and the natural shortage of plants and animals or surges in diseases. Your tree hugging lies won't make me feel guilty for the way I live. We will NEVER run out off oil ! Fear is the best way to increase prices to consumer. The strongest can control market

  • interesting till it began the "global warming shit"

the planet is fine, the people are fucked- carlin

  • The funny thing about sensitive hippie is they don't seem to realize that they are way, way behind the curve. Yeah, sure, they're the only ones smart enough to understand and perceive the end-game. I got news for you - the world we live in is governed by people who know the underlying truth of everything covered in this video. But rather than engage in a fool's errand of trying to "lead", they are hell bent on maximizing their particular share before the party is over.

  • You see, the loss of oil will not go instantaneously. Like in the graph of peak oil presented in this movie, it will take 40-50 years before all the oil is gone. Do you think our life is gonna sit idle and do nothing while that happens? First there will be wars for oil, second there will be research for alternatives, third they will create mass alternatives (primary solar, but also nuclear wind and sea energy can with current technology provide for about 50% of our current energy needs).

  • I think this movie is grossly underestimating life's capability's to life in different environments... Truth to be told, the war of resources is as old as life (ea, tigers scarying elephants away from water in times of draught in africa). It is life's nature to protect and/or conquer resources. During the decline of oil production, we will either adept or face great wars until all has settled down and humanity will probably go back to living in small camps. This all is fine, why so serious?

  • @RectulThreat We then found out that carbon dioxide has never been this high as far back as we can check. wiki carbon dioxide to see a graph showing the increase to carbon dioxide which has been measured to directly correspond to the amount of carbon dioxide that is being put into the atmosphere. Unfortunatly this is really happening and we can set it now right before your eyes just go to greenland

  • Wow, this video made me extremely depressed. I think I need to go lay down now, and take a nap.

  • Well, this is all very true.. if nothing else it is obvious as can be. There are too many people and the idea of "infinite growth" is absurd. This does not mean falling back to the stone age, we have technology, we have innovation, we have created a lot of great things and learned how to be more productive. What it DOES mean is that everything needs to be reevaluated. "getting by is good enough" needs to be the anthem. No more throw away culture. But we're gonna have much fewer people.

  • Really good and terrifying stuff. For once it isn't couched in biblical stuff at all.

  • "Build an Arc?" "Find a New Land?" Sorry, but their not MAKIN' land anymore, and all the land in existence is already claimed by those with plenty money. The glimmer of 'hope' at the end of this video is unwarranted, imho.

  • "The planet is fine. The people are fucked." -Carlin

  • Capitalism is the conversion of living creatures. The hyper simplification of living complex beings into profit.

  • @skulldrix

Capitalism is the farest way for people to live. For someone to better their circumstances through hard work.

I doubt you know what hard work is...

  • overpopulation only exists in capitalism - THIS money system.

  • @06Casualty Investigate the Equal Money System

  • @NiklasNydahl Yup, I know all about the Equal Money System, and I'm for it.

    -Ryan

  • Slightly off topic but don't you think the legend of The Fall, and expulsion from Eden and even Eden itself is a metaphor for abandoning the natural way and deciding to settle and farm? In the garden things grew, whilst on the farm we grow things. The Tree of Knowledge was knowledge we weren't equipped to deal with.

  • Great film although I didn't rate the last chapter part where people seem too concerned about what future generations might think of us. That's small fry compared to the problems and seems to be a result of the human condition of wanting to be liked and hoping history judges us well ........... which is meaningless once you're dead. I doubt future humans will blame 'us' anyway. Apart from the fact it's 10,000 years of humans they should blame, it's not as if any great knowledge will remain.

  • There is just one solution: Stop blaming others, "them" for things that you do or fail to do! End of story

  • Divulguem, merece ser veiculado e visto em qq lugar e por todos.

  • This needs much more views.

People need to realize what's coming.

  • Quite possibly the single most intelligent two hours of documentary filmmaking on Youtube, right up there with "The Eleventh Hour," "HOME," and "Collapse." It's like this dude collapsed all 208 of my own rambling rants into one two-hour slice of reality sandwich. I am placing this on my Favorites, then making it my NUMBER ONE favorite Youtube of all time. Whatever you had planned for the next two hours, CANCEL THEM, and watch this video.

  • @Humptydumptytribe

i think humptydumpty had a great fall and banged his head. thi video is shit

  • I think I might one day commit suicide.

  • Reconnect! That's what I'm taking from this film :D

  • @foresightsecurity911 what are you doing about gmo's and pesticides...?

  • @donHooligan buy organic is one way. support local. write to congressman.

  • @foresightsecurity911 I know the two sides of the story to which you are referring, but the question of is climate change real is as relevant as the question, is it not real. The real question is what if I'm wrong? If the climate change aspects of this documentary are inaccurate, do that make everything about it inaccurate, or the overall message wrong?

  • @foresightsecurity911 The planet is simultaneously suffering both from man made global warming and man made global cooling. The two effects manifest one more than the other in certain localities, while in some areas they effectively nullify one another.

  • @Elsydeonz You're close. It's actually still Global Warming, what we're seeing is additional heat energy being trapped in our atmosphere. Like a car engine, when you put more energy into it the parts all fly around faster. In our atmosphere this equates to more dramatic weather patterns and more extreme hot and cold at varying times.

The more energy is trapped, the more wild and unpredictable the patterns become.

  • @foresightsecurity911 Your belief that the planet is cooling does not change the fact that it is actually warming.

  • @Earthlazarus

"the fact that it is actually warming."

    And ?

The earth is meant to get warmer. Then it will get cooler then warmer and on and on and on.

Do you want to stop nature?

Do you actually think you have that kind of power ?? LOLOL

  • @RectulThreat First, let me start by letting you know LOLOLing isn't going to deter me from giving a rational response. As much as you LOL in this instance, it just makes you look like an undereducated ass. Yes, there are natural cycles in cooling and warming global temperatures, but what we're experiencing right now is arguably anthropogenic, and unarguably happening at a rate unlike anything our species can recall. You're probably right: we can't stop it now. Positive feedback.

  • @foresightsecurity911 Please check this out: /watch?v=xvMmPtEt8dc

  • @foresightsecurity911 Your retarded.

  • @foresightsecurity911 You are fucking retarded.

  • @foresightsecurity911 Are you driving a SUV and living in denial?

  • @foresightsecurity911 Vast consensus of data says that the planet is experiencing an overall climate change being brought about by average increasing temperatures.

Remember that weather isn't climate. While it might be cold somewhere that doesn't mean that the overall trend is cooling.

Global warming is basically just extra energy being trapped in the atmosphere, that extra energy causes the whole system to behave more erratically.

  • @foresightsecurity911 This comment and your username are a hilarious combination.

  • what a load of total horseshit this video is.

So many lies so much bad science.

  • @RectulThreat Such as?

  • @Earthlazarus

Like the claim there is a mass extinction happening right now LOL

Like the claim that the oceans will turn to acid

Like pretty much every stupid claim in this video.

    It's total bullshit.

Don't tell me you've fallen for this tripe ?

  • @RectulThreat

"Like the claim there is a mass extinction happening right now LOL"

There is, dumbass. I doubt you'll do this, but type in Holocene extinction into Wikipedia, aka the sixth mass extinction.

"Like the claim that the oceans will turn to acid."

Not will. ARE, turning into acid. 70% of the coral reefs have already been destroyed, the rest is in horrible shape save for maybe a good 5% which remains threatened by increasing acidification of oceans.

  • @Earthlazarus

LOL you are just a little sheep, you swallow everything you read.

I bet you have a photo of Al Gore hanging from your wall don't you.

Here's some little truths, the oceans aren't turning to fucking acid you psychopath.

Its part of the natural cycle of the oceans, there isnt always a constant amount, it changes.

There is no mass extinction either. People like you have watched way too many hoollywood movies and want there to be disasters because your life is boring

  • @RectulThreat No, despite respect I do have for Al Gore, I do not have a poster of him hanging from my wall, and he is not a scientist. However, real scientists have something to say. Like, for one, ocean acidification is real. Ocean acidification is the name given to the ongoing decrease in the pH and increase in acidity of the Earth's oceans, caused by the uptake of anthropogenic CO2 from the atmosphere. Obviously, again, there cycles, but this is unprecedented in our time.

  • @Earthlazarus "but this is unprecedented in our time"

    LOL 'our time'

you mean the last 4000 years?

    what a joke

  • @RectulThreat Is that seriously your whole response? Talk about jokes. To be honest, I mean the last TEN thousand years, the dawn of civilization. Humans have been around a lot longer ten thousand years still, but the fact remains: the planet's never faced something quite like this, caused by us. I don't believe the world is going to "end" in 2012, but I do believe we as a species are facing extinction. Civilization is likely to collapse over the next few decades as a part of that.

  • @Earthlazarus

    XD

LOL i guess you best go start building your bunker and stocking it with carrots then you loon

  • @RectulThreat And clearly, you didn't even bother to look up anything regarding the Holocene extinction event, as predicted. There has always been a background rate of extinction at which species die out naturally. But right now, that rate is a hundred to a thousand times higher than normal. Seriously, read a fucking book.

  • @Earthlazarus

how about you stop reading ed of days horror books. the world isnt going to end in 2012

  • @RectulThreat Before your next illogical and/or ad hominem response, let's just get this over with: what source(s) would you find reputable for scientific information, so I can direct you to them? Or do you just not 'believe in' science? I could make this easy for you: go to scholar.google (do you know what that is?), and type in "Holocene extinction event", "sixth mass extinction" or "peak oil", or "ocean acidification". Or just use regular Google. Try Wikipedia, follow sources.

  • @Earthlazarus

LOL did you just try to link preak oil with an extinction event ?

    Hoq fucking retarded are you?

  • @RectulThreat No, dumbass. Read my post and try to understand, what I'm saying isn't that complicated: "What source(s) would you find reputable for scientific information, so I can direct you to them? . . . I could make this easy for you: go to . . . type in X, Y, or Z." X, Y, and Z being random items referred to in, guess what, the video we're discussing. I in no way "linked peak oil with an extinction event" anymore than this video did. "Fucking retard," DURRR.

  • @Earthlazarus

so then explain yourself, why did you mention peak oil when we are talking about the oceans ?

Kind of bizzare dont you think ?

Silly boy. try not to get too carried away when you are arguing your tin foil hat ideas!

  • @RectulThreat I already explained why I mentioned it. Furthermore, it was an example of something else you probably deny. I'm (not really) sorry if that was beyond you. And if you don't deny peak oil, at least we can agree on one thing, but to be honest, I don't really care anymore. You're a waste of time (and space).

  • @Earthlazarus

do you think aliens crashed in new mexico ?

    XD

Your silly theories are a waste of time.

But you keep thinming the ocean is going to turn into a giat pool of sulphuric acid LOL

You remind me of that death cult that killed themselves when halle bopp passed by

  • @RectulThreat And you remind me of a young-Earth creationist. And, just a creationist in general, actually. No one said "sulfuric" acid, but it doesn't surprise me you don't know the difference between that and a pH level that's moving toward acidic, i.e. away from being more alkaline. And I have no opinion of what happened in New Mexico or whatever. Who would honestly know? Quit throwing out straw men. Aliens are of the least of my concerns. In any case (see next comment)

  • @RectulThreat These aren't "silly theories". Do you think I'm part of some fringe minority who believes in these things? Do you really think the belief of these things is fringe among scientists? Well guess what? It's not. And it's obvious why you're not aware of this: because you don't even bother to read up on it. And it's why you're out of things to say and have to resort to topics that have nothing to do with our discussion (if you want to even call it a discussion).

  • @Earthlazarus

"why you're out of things to say and have to resort to topics that have nothing to do with our discussion "

says the person that brought up peak oil during a discussion about the claimed oceans turning to acid.

Its clear you are one scared person. You lvie in fear.

Let me explain something to you. the earth has a natural cycle, you are never NEVER going to change that.

Hard as you try you will just have to go with nature. You cannot stop it.

  • @RectulThreat Keep bringing up the Peak Oil thing as if it somehow derailed the entire conversation. You're making a big deal out of nothing. I've been over this with you. And no, I don't live in fear, but complacency. You, on the other hand, live in ignorance.

  • @Earthlazarus

You'd like that to be true but sadly its not.

You live in fear that the oceans are turning to acid LOL

What a scared little boy you are

  • @RectulThreat Ok.

  • @RectulThreat It's a well demonstrated fact that higher concentrations of CO2 creates something called Carbonic acid H2CO3. I've used it to alter the ph of my aquariums.

  • @Koshy2

Your aquariym is not an ocean...

  • @RectulThreat Ohh ok so that totally means that CO2 in solution doesn't cause acidification. Thanks Dr.Rectul.

  • @Koshy2

LOL you'd need tonnes upon tonnes upon tonnes of co2 to turn the worlds oceans acidic son.

Now back to class young lad

  • @RectulThreat Are you serious? Human activity accounts for 26,400,000,000 TONS annually. Did you think we put out like 1 ton a year or something? Do you know how vast our civilization and planet are?

  • @Koshy2

Clearly you don't know your ass from your elbow.

How much CO2 is produced by the oceans each year ? Do you even know ?

    LOL i doubt it.

keep living with your head in the sand (or up your ass)

  • @RectulThreat Well if 26.4 billion = 3% of global output, then how much is that.

How much of a percentage increase is required to cause acidification?

How much acidification required to lower PH by .01?

How much acidification to impact marine life?

What is the current PH of the ocean?

Can you answer any of these questions?

26.4billion tons of additional CO2 per year, while we reduce the planets ability to effectively lock CO2 into vegetative matter and such by bad practices.

  • @Koshy2 I agree with you completely Koshy2. RectulThreat appears to be a planted shill for the oil companies.

  • @RectulThreat Willful ignorance, at that.

  • @RectulThreat What are the criteria for a mass extinction?

How many mass extinctions has the Earth been through?

How quickly are species being eradicated today?

    Can't answer these questions?

Time to go read up on the subject instead of dropping nonsense on youtube.

  • @Koshy2

oh i can answer all of those but its a waste of time replying to them :)

I guess you don't understand the basics of the long carbn cycle. there is more co2 now because the earth is warming, not the other way round. Did you get fooled by al gore? LOL

  • @RectulThreat Guess I've just got too much book learnin to keep up with you.

  • @Koshy2

you've been reading too much from the sci fi section of your public library

  • @RectulThreat Rectul, you live in a fantasy land.

  • @RectulThreat Al gore is a money grubbing douche however unfortunately he is right. The long carbon cycle is very good at self regulating meaning the carbon dioxide produced naturally is of set by organisms and plant life that absorb it isn't perfect so every few hundred thousand years we get hotter and colder climates. The neat thing about carbon dioxide is we can measure how it is now to how it has been for the last few hundred thousand years by air pockets in the polar ice.

  • Look into Jacque Fresco and the Venus Project.....his ideas for 'cities' is entirely different... They are sustainable. His whole way of thinking about using science, technology and the scientific 'method' for solving problems is so different. He understands entirely the problem of taking care of this planet and sustainability. His idea for a Resource Based Economy is the only one I can see for a future for humanity that doesn't entail the deaths of billions and puts us in harmony.

  • Comment removed

  • Its too bad, because the problem with the people, no matter who we are, is a failure to LOVE. Instead we have elected to allow the fullest expression of every vice- greed, envy, deception and so forth, to be the dominating force for how we live. The population explosion is a MYTH. Not only is the planet large enough to accommodate everyone, due to abortion and family planning, populations around the world aren't even replacing themselves. Pollution is true, but not global warming. More deception

  • A good documentary, but fails to mention the only solution that would actually work: green anarchism (i.e. individual sovereignty). Once again we hear the importance of becoming more self-reliant, more localized; "grow a vegetable garden", "protect the land". Great ideas but most people can't do that because they are domesticated $-slaves. The way to stop all the destruction shown in this documentary is for people to claim their birthright to their fair share of the land & water, cost/tax-free.

  • @8foldpath4peace i'm trying to live as though The Empire has already collapsed...trying to make our home sustainable and build strong community ties. i do odd jobs on a "pay as you wish" basis. only one person has "ripped me off, i'm busy as hell, and the "blessings" are pourin down like rain (in washington)

great comment, by the way. i subbed ya for it.

  • @donHooligan

Right on, thanks. Yes countless women & men would like to live as though the empire has already collapsed, but again most can't do that because they don't have the cost/tax-free land to that on (explained further on colindonoghue(dot)wordpress(dot)com). This crucial point continues to be ignored by most of "civilized" society. Exceptions: FRAW (UK), the MST (Brazil), La Via Campesina (International)... hopefully more will acknowledge and act on this truth before it is too late.

  • @8foldpath4peace Exactly. Many people make the assumption this the way it has to be. The problem is basically a systemic one. The rules of state capitalism make it so that we have to participate in this self-destructive cycle, even if we despise it. Real change will not come unless we throw off the bonds of this horrendous system of institutionalized greed. Where does the "story" come from? These are mostly shaped by the elites. It's not enough to just change the "story".

  • @8foldpath4peace It isn't a solution because there isn't enough land available for 7 billion people to simply grow their own food and keep a few chickens. No man is an island, not any more, if ever he was. It's a noble idea but based on too much hope. Small communities won't work either because in the coming cataclysms, communities will be endlessly at war, just like the nation wars we see now. Man is indeed a now fallen creature ......and I'm not religious btw.

  • @WG1807 First of all there IS enough land (read "Who Owns the World: The Surprising Truth About Every Piece of Land on the Planet" by Kevin Cahill for starters), secondly you assume that everybody will see the superiority of natural living and decide to opt-out of monetary-slavery/human-farming, which of course is not the case. Regardless, those that currently have enormous amounts of land while the majority have none can not be justified, a point you, like so many others, simply ignore. Peace

  • @8foldpath4peace No I'm not ignoring that just by failing to mention it. You are correct about not everyone doing the right thing, but of course these type of people will be the most aggressive at the end and target all those who are doing. I'll admit my comment about land availability is somewhat assumptive and accept you probably have greater knowledge on this. Still, 7 billion people is too many. Even if there is enough land, will it then stretch to 8 billion, 10, 12?

  • @WG1807 Yes human overpopulation is a problem, on many levels. However that should just motivate us to end its root cause: social-systems that force more and more people into urban control-grids (the unnatural concentration of people allows for the growing billions), which spread like cancer over the Earth. Regardless of what the ratio of land per person is, there's no justification for why some have much more than that ratio, and others have none. Cost-free land = birthright of all women & men.

  • @8foldpath4peace and how would they claim that birthright? you talk of a lack of solutions and state there's a simple one, well, what is it? you have only mentioned a romantic solution that i would have thought of when i was 16. Basically, "REVOLUTION!" Don't misunderstand me, i am not trying to attack you, i think that since we are even watching this docu, we must be at least on some kind of similar wavelength

  • @mccklinklonk How do people claim land as their birthright? Well they find some unused land and set up shelter and start a garden. Of course the more people that do this the better the chances of resisting state-backed evictions; As long people just ignorantly disregard the idea altogether, there is little chance of success. The system relies on the ignorance of the masses. Check my wordpress page & the book "To Inherit the Earth: The Landless Movement and the Struggle for for a New Brazil"

  • the venus project.system in which all goods and services are available without the use of money, credits, barter or any other system of debt or servitude. All resources become the common heritage of all of the inhabitants, not just a select few. The premise upon which this system is based is that the Earth is abundant with plentiful resource; our practice of rationing resources through monetary methods is irrelevant and counter productive to our survival.

  • Ok, when I heard, "the tiger's blood will course through our veins" I thought about charlie sheen lol.

  • Our only hope is small regional small self sustained economy and production. And that also requires the come back of being neighborly and work and help each other instead of avoiding those who live next door or down the street. Yes some, like me, are introverted, but love is the mother of tolerance. And this tolerance for the odd, the recluse, the neurotic will ironically bring us out of our shells slowly to do our part for our neighboorhood & selfsustaining production/distribution of vitals

  • I'm not a big fan of images flashing by so rapidly that you're unable to process them before the next one pops up. That's the reason I got rid of my tv 5 or 6 years back. Such imagery puts you in a state of light hypnosis, making you susceptible to whatever wrote the droning monologue wishes to imprint upon you.

The start of the movie was a warning sign. It said basically, don't think about what you're seeing. Just let it wash over you. In other words let me tell you what to think and believe.

  • @vention4wh

When I'm subjected to hypnotic strategies like this I have no problem listening to what the monologue says but I move my eyes off the screen and let the subliminal BS go by. Then when it stops and something that might be relevant pops up, I give it my attention.

That said, I agree with much of this movie. Other parts such as all the population reduction stuff, not so much.

  • is horrible to find the truth, earthlings, animals or are we humans,t he truth is we are parasites a virus

  • @cahaps

I don't agree. It's the corporate and political system that's the virus and it's done a great deal of damage over the last few centuries. It's not the only way to live though.

  • Timeless... Over and over

  • Human destiny is to wipe ourselves out!

  • "nuclear weapons biding their time, itching with purposes unfulfilled"

  • Thanks for up load and Thank you very much for making this those that did and helped.I wish i could say that i had some of the hope expressed as far a chance the human race may find a new paradigm to it's ecomomic system and consumerism based lifestyle (western civilazation),but I really think we have allready written our epitapah. Here's to hoping and trying to find a way to help bring it about.I live in a very rural mountain region and have dropped out a while back.NoTV for 16 yr now it's nice

  • Humans have a fatal flaw in our ablity to sustain our existence.........it is dramatically displayed in an experiment by Sanford mathematician Jack Alpert.........look up his speech on ecoshock radio.......it isn't a pretty picture.

  • @jacopman that's not exactly true. the flaw is not inherent in humans...only in one culture of humans. that's really good news. WE are not humanity. we are simply a fucked-up culture who believes "You Need Money To Live"

  • @donHooligan Perhaps I should have explained........our flaw as demonstrated by Alpert is that when confronted with a long term dilemmas humans spend too much of their energies on the immediancy of needs. It is genertically encoded into us as a fight or flight syndrome as a result of the natural selection of our survival over millions of years....it is not the result of culturally learned behavior.

  • @jacopman i would still have to disagree with alpert by suggesting that The Problem, being cultural in nature, is having a lazy, easily distracted mind.

the most basic and immediate human need is air, yet our air is more polluted than it was yesterday.

the 'distractors' (cultural voices and memes) have our attention focused on a plethora of nonsensical 'problems' so that AIR is a non-issue...and we'd rather point fingers than stop burning fossil fuels.

  • @donHooligan That's very true but it is pretty hard to concieve of a long term problem when say..........a person is unemployed and trying to pay their rent...........we always focus more on the immediate that the long term no matter how difficult the long term issue is..........

  • @jacopman i totally see what you are saying, and i wonder why people struggling to pay rent continue playing this game. even people (in this culture) who have no money agree that "everything costs money"

  • @donHooligan We live in a society that has a truth and a myth...........the truth is that if your needs are not met (food, shelter, clothes) we are unhappy and full of anxiety, but can money obtains those things and bring us joy and relief............but where the myth comes is that if we meet our needs then expand our needs into every increasing levels of wants.........we end up living in a game of diminshed returns of happiness...........

  • The root cause of our problems is not peak oil (a lie) or human caused climate change (another lie). Our problem is the jewish criminal network destroying everything cause they hate our guts.

See the video in 911missinglinks(com) for the truth.

  • @jewishcrimenetwork ...right now...

    the board game "CLUE"...

is on ebay for $1.04...i think you should bid high

  • @jewishcrimenetwork Oh dear.

  • @jewishcrimenetwork EXACTLY!!! EVERYBODY THUMBS UP THIS GENTLEMAN'S COMMENT. The REAL truth about the human extinction lies behind a sheet of lies known as the U.S., Chinease, and Russian governments. These corrupt globalist bankers want to have NO taxes on themselves with BILLIONS while us 8-12 hour aday working americans can work for 1/100000 they make an hour. ARE YOU REALLY SATISFIED WITH THIS PEOPLE? DO SOME RESEARCH AND SEE THE LIES THEY USED TO SCARE US INTO FORGETTING OUR HUMANE RIGHTS!

  • No more progress no more modernization!!!!

  • We don't need presidents and politicians. Why people always think that a single person is gonna be the one. And is gonna look for our welfare. We have to stop thinking as a tribe and start focusing in strictest ways to slow down the way we are living. No more modernization no more progress. We don't need more ways to make this planet worst. Because no matter if we invent more crap for a better future there's always gonna be a bad use for that invention.

  • What do you do for your world...recycling??? Hahaha. That's not enough. Think about what you do every day you wake up. Work for 8 hours and at the end you don't wanna think about nothing else because you had a busy day at work. Working for that company that company who doesn't care about you or you family who cares about just make money in order you can have money to buy food pay bills and more. So what are you doing for your planet???

  • All people who thinks that this is a stupid documentary is because they don't want pop their bubble and they wanna keep thinking that the president and all politicians are gonna find a way to clean all the crap that we've been building up.

  • We won't be here long enough to be considered an Empire. We were simply just careless selfish greed driven short term visitors whom would steal whatever we could before we left the building. Morons we were, so much wasted talk without change. Even the composition structure of the tools used for making these such films would have some detrimental impact upon the Earths environment at some stage ... We are all guilty, as charged.

  • Excellent Video and just what I needed, thank you for posting, peace and much love of self, yourself and our beautiful planet. Let the rebuilding commence!!!

  • wow that was a nice ending, to me, it was one of those i needed to watch. you went over the sins of our fathers and our sins and, we really do need to take reposablility by the hornes and ride this baby in the sun set until we r art last at peace with each other. This really get down to the nitty gritty skips past all of the polittics and the blame and lays out the situation and why it is the way it is .

  • DENIAL!!!

  • This video loses focus about halfway through. It starts to talk about culture, society, civilization, and technology yet nothing that is said is clear or focused. A lot of metaphors and analogies are used which are accepted as fact. It said that we are being taught to think a certain way but never defines who or what is teaching us to think that way. I also think the video grossly underestimates science and technology and their primary trait of solving problems.

  • @megalo I think problems are created at a rate far higher than that at which they are solved (or are being solved) by science and technology. Most things can't be solved in the same light that they were invented.

  • Possibly the most talentless producers/narrators i have ever had the displeasure of being forced to watch due to my class. Yeah, we are using a lot of resources, well thats what happens when you make babies. ten minutes more of this movie and im gonna drill into the gulf myself and unleash Cthuhlu upon whoever made this shoddy film. If we are so close to overpopulation, we should get rid of these schmucks first.

  • @snugsmcbear i'm grateful that you made it through the film without a tragedy befalling you. i hope your day went well, (aside from the two hours you sat in front of your computer) and i hope tomorrow goes even better for you.

good luck on the assignment. wouldn't it be funny if the next assignment was on "the four noble truths"?

  • Awsome!!

  • only watching this for a homework assignment...already fell asleep twice last night watching and hoping not to fall asleep right now. This shit is dumb!

  • Hi, can anyone tell me when this was made? Thank You.

  • @ednorman82 i believe it was made in 2010.

  • Excellent documentary, a bit of a mixture between END: CIV and Blind Spot. Although in the end I always favor Zeitgeist: Moving Forward. ;)

  • "The Root and Stem of Every Evil is Indifferent,Ignorance"-Plato

  • peak oil is still argued, I don't believe there is full on proof that "fossil fuels" are from dead dinosaurs, that is an establishment view, as is non-renewable oil, it is argued that is not true as well, but I don't know for sure, but it is an argument that the establishment says - it's a fact that oil refineries are buying out other ones and capping them, I don't know if that's to save it for the future, but that fudges the numbers, just saying, see it skeptically, but this is a good doc

  • I just saw this on my public access last night, had to see it from the beginning, it is about a clear statement that can be made about the "way the world is", the population stuff is tough to think about, but we are multiplying too damn much! where I live everyone has like 3 plus kids, when will it end? why does everyone feel the need for not one, but 2, 3, 4 kids? I shudder to think of what things will look like in like 20 years, bladerunner anyone?

  • @futurecatholic All this talk about nature and connection and respect for life -

and not one word about the Holocaust of factory farming and breeding BILLIONS of FULLY SENTIENT beings who would not be bred if people simply did the trivially easy thing of becoming vegan?

Or of the holocaust of millions of humans in prison in the USA, China, South America, Saudi Arabia

for all sorts of trivial bullshit reasons?

  • i was hoping to hear something in here about the possibility of humans living and working in space or on other worlds . it is worth mentioning there are almost infinate resources and energy in space

  • @WalterWalkie Not worth mentioning. Unimaginable waste of energy and time, because we'd have to burn up all the world's energy and completely destroy the world's environment - not that we're not 80% of the way there - to put a few colonists on the moon for a month.

The Second Law of Thermodynamics forbids vastly wasteful reckless ventures like that.

  • The ultimate bullshit from the ultimate assholes

  • record high heat waves hit the country and were not having any signs of global warming?....

  • Nevermind, I understand it all but have yet to integrate the themes of this documentary into my life 100%. I think the integration part is going to be the hardest.

  • I already have "understood and integrated" everything the doc mentions! Woo me! However that's not to say I shouldn't continue repeating and not forgetting this truth and holding onto it like a mantra, because it's so easy to forget.

  • if you met the enemy and you think he is us then get off your ass and make him your best friend and do something about what is wrong. make yourself proud, little things add up

  • A dozen people enjoy starving to death, dying of thirst, or dying of homelessness.

Too bad they can't do all three.

  • AGW-deniers, overpopulation-deniers, anti-abortionists, anti-marijuana-and-drug terrorists are an embarrassment to true libertarians, to silverbugs, to those fighting fiat currency, to fighting the Fed.

  • @mphello I would think that being a true libertarian should be embarrassing enough.

  • @BenkaiDebussy True. But, I felt like making a small concession to those who are proud of their "pure libertarianism", rather than totally humiliate them. But, I draw the line at AGW-denial and consequences to others such as environmental damage or killing and torturing non-human animals.

  • AGW-deniers = peak oil deniers.

They think there is an infinite amount of oil in the ground.

AGW-deniers all started out as 911-deniers ("911truthers" - and I'm not saying the 911truthers don't have important points: they do). Why aren't they still going after 911 truth?

  • Too many stupid zombies on our side in the war against the banksters and fiat money who have been completely brainwashed by the coal industry, Steve Forbes, and other anti-science big-corporate-welfare anthropogenic global warming (AGW)-denier propaganda. These are the same zombies who think the moon landing was hoaxed and 911 was a mirage.

They are simply too stupid to differentiate between real well-documented cause-and-effect vs bullshit convoluted conspiracy theories born on the net.

  • @mphello And, no: being a "conspiracy theory" is NOT an insult. It does NOT make an idea wrong.

But, the more convoluted ones require more proof.

    (Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.)

Occam's Razor: AGW-deniers in the West deny the proven fact of AGW because THEY don't want to change a thing about their selfish lifestyles.

  • and that artist in the beginning is a human loathing bitch. why doesn't she take a dive off a cliff to save the world. This whole film is just retarded.

  • I am sorry, maybe I'm being sudden but WHAT IS WRONG WITH AGRICULTURE? They're saying "without disturbence." Well....no eating can be done without disturbance. To eat, something, whether plant or animal, has to die. Agriculture is how men and women stopped being mere hunters and gatherers. It was how men were able to think about more than whats next to eat. Starving societies lack agriculture. Morons.

  • Wow what is with the amount of racist comments on here? Ridiculous

  • simply brilliant.. we MUST understand what the consequences of our actions are and we MUST ACT NOW!

  • Don't take this film too seriously. I stopped watching at 30 min because up to that point everything was basically a copy and paste from the fear mongering MSM. OMGzzz peak oil and global warming!!! Oh, please. You didn't convince anyone 30 years ago and you aren't convincing anyone now. Move on to something original! 2012 is right around the corner!

  • Everyone go to the White racist site resist.com, especially if you are a White youth

  • I only made it through the first 10 minutes. It seems like an emotionally manipulative hack-job. I skipped ahead, and nothing changed. This is trying to scare you, not inform you.

  • @sirsinnes Made it 12 minutes and gave up. Ditto. Better things to do with my time than to watch yet another one of these.

  • The people who made this hateful video should be dragged into a white court of law (not that NWO travesty of justice at the Hague), charged with inciting genocide of people of European heritage, found guilty and strung up from the nearest lamp posts.
