  • dumb....

  • John very succinctly describes the point of worship. It is about surrender. Wonderfully, though, when we surrender, God comes down and does something in our lives during worship, (whether corporate or personal). God inhabits the praises of His people (Ps. 22:3) There is "doing church" and there is truly worshipping God from the heart.

  • The Lord loves you despite what you do or say NBOC777 for he is Love.......

  • Lord forgive NBOC777, They do not know what they do...

  • I am the Lord Jesus Christ thankful and grateful that I don't see those kind of false teachers in the Kingdom of Heaven. He is now died and he is now in the depth gates of hell where he belongs. Will anybody being cursed when he speaks those kind of nonsense as he does. John Wimber was fully accursed up till his dead and is now for eternity in the depth gates of hell. Amen.

  • thanks for the Video,, John Wimber is still a great man of God. and the work John started is still going on. RIP Mr. Wimber and one day i hope to get to talk to you and tell you how much it means to me to seek to see what you taught and pass it on to my daughter.

  • tight sermon

  • God isn't needy. it just so happens that He is perfect! He doesn't need anything from us but because he is perfect he is worthy of worship. Think about it! He is the only being or thing in the universe that is absolute perfection! You can't take away from him or add anything to him to make him better. He can't grow or increase because he already is! Therefore he is the greatest object of worship and the center of the universe! Not needy just worthy!

  • So why is god so needy? Why does it want to be worshiped so much? Sounds like a rather immature super-being. Not something that is worth worshiping anyways. So folks, stay home on Sundays and keep your money in your wallet.

  • This video must've been taken toward the last years of John's life. His voice is a lot more coarse and he had lost a lot of weight. I'm sorry to notice, also, that he had become just a little bit bitter about people who didn't agree with him. When he was younger, he was a lot more tolerant toward those who didn't necessarily agree with him.

  • @lordmyhealer He was a wonderful man of God though, wasn't he? :-) To be honest, after reading about what other 'Christians' did to him and said to him, especially as he became more ill, I'm amazed he didn't become more bitter!

  • So I take it that people at your church sit quitely for 40 minutes after worship and go home. It's not messy right?

  • yeah that's pretty much it but honestly I think it depends on the people as to how a church functions, as well as alot of circumstances .Don't you think ?

  • next passage of scripture talks about how the people were divided about Jesus being the Christ. So I honesly don' t know what that has to do with people having charismatic experiences in church.

  • that passage referred to Jesus' being able to heal on the Sabbath. not about judging what is right

  • no one at my church does that either but if even if they did its not for me to judge.

  • that's great, but find a community of beleivers that is home for you don't necessarily put all your eggs in one basket, by looking for a "perfect" leader.

  • Not every Vineyard church is the same (that is true) but saying that it was all about what happened in Tornonto and Peter Wagner's influence is just untrue, it does not make what the Vineyard church was all about.

  • no I decided to take the higher road

  • I have and I stand by what I say

  • Please don't hide behind empty words. Know what? Enlighten me.

  • Are you being seriouse? You actually think John Wimber was following Satan?

  • First of all, this must've been during one of those worship conferences in the late 90's. Second of all, it's so sad that many people think this man was a satanist and led people astray. How people could think that way...I have no idea.

  • Wow, how old was John when he gave this message? I have never seen him this old and emaciated. It must have been close to his final days.

  • I have no idea how old he was, that man never finished teaching or evangelizing. In the book the way it was he witnessed to his HMO. God used him right to the end.

  • Excellent thanks for posting

  • thanks!!always welcome some good teaching. If you have more from wimber, please, don't doubt to post it. Blessings!!
