Oh hey! Have you heard about the Fat Blast Furnace (do a search on google)? Ive heard some great things about it and my friend shed crazy amounts of unwanted fat.
You say that that protein powder that you use is better than the average whey protein, but yet you only get around 36g of protein out of three large scoops, to me that looks like pretty crap stuff.
hunt fitness bro getting a nutrition plan from there is way cheaper than the rest of these people who try to sell you the micro macro diet and on going support i mean whose not going to keep charging but this is for real its free as long as your a client
Nick I've been looking at all these videos about the bulk and I have a basic understanding up all of it, but the problem is I don't know how to make this work for ME, with combined workouts and such.
@platano4life1 my meals generally vary day by day but yesterday I had 1 cup oats with 1 scoop protein powder mixed in for breakfast. lunch was 1 cup brown rice 1 cup diced chicken 1 cup steamed vegetables. the next meal was the same as the last. then I had 2 mcdoubles from mcdonalds with no cheese or pickles and 1.5 cups cherrios with 1 cup skim milk. then before bed I had 1/2 scoop whey protein in 2 cups skim milk. macros were 224 g protein, 348g carbs 58g fats.
You can, but I get nervous about the common bodybuilder practice of precooking large quanties of food, then storing same in fridge for a week or longer then re heating. If your throw chicken in a microwave it cooks from the outside in. If you have cut up chicken in bite size pieces, probably not bad, but if a precooked chicken breast the center if you leave it in the microwave long enough to heat through it can end up like rubber. The bigger concern
is did your kill all the bacteria? Yes bacteria grows in food in the fridge. If it didn't, you'd never have to throw any food that turned bad out. The risk is food poisioning. If you've never experienced a serious bout, you have no idea how sick you can get. I once got food poisioning from a mushroom burger I bought and ate in a restaurant. In an hour I was getting queazy. A few hours later I was home and going down hill fast.
where'd you find out about the meal timing? ive heard everything from eating once a day, to eating 12 meals a day. i dont know what to believe anymore. got some informational sites you got link us to?
@microphonecheck1 supplement companies try to get you to believe that you need 6+ meals because they know that most people cannot do this without using meal replacement/protein shakes. Meal timing is not important.
im tryna gain as well Nick, i calculated i need 4k cal a day, and Serious Mass has been a great wieght gainer for me, i just did a video in HD for ABS in case u wanna check it out search ((thalifechanga abs))...getting some good feed back so far
very similar shake I have every morning except I throw in some frozen berries as well and also threw in some honey during my bulk. also less scoops of protein but still similar
In a similar way excess carbs get converted to fat. This is true since your body only has one means of storing excess calories, in fat cells. There is no such thing as carbohydrate or protein cells. Also fat cells are perfectly capable of expanding and holding more fat. Once they reach their maximum size they divided and make new fat cells. Oops.
The problem is there is no way to know how much protein your body needs or will use. You can only guess. So the bottom line is by taking lots of protein (which you probably don't need) you run the risk of actually doing nothing more than adding to your body fat. The exact opposite of what most want to do.
@willieofroanoke While this is true recent research has shown excess protein to promote lean body mass increase more so than carbs and fat, so having an excess of protein is more favourable than an excess of carbs and fat.
In time, (hours) they pass through small intestine walls into the blood steam then carried to muscle and other cells. I left some of technical details out, but that's basically what happens. The main hormones that control digestion are gastrin, secretin, and cholecystokinin. It is secretin an enzyme that regulates protein absorption and also effects how much bile your liver makes. What many are ignorant of is excess protein automatically gets converted to fat.
Take following for what its worth. Some apparently are under the impression that all you have to do is gulp down some protein and like magic your muscles soak it up like a sponge. Nothing could be further from the truth! Proteins are large molecules that must be digested by enzymes starting in your stomach. The process continues in your small intestine where different enzymes from pancreatic juices and the lining of the small intestine breakdown protein molecules into amino acids.
Meal timing is rather important if you want to maintain an agreeable or steady level of energy in and throughout the day, as bingeing or gorging to compensate for skipped or lost meals can cause tiredness and irregularity in the digestive tract, which doesn't make well for social or active situations and may cause some back-tracking when you're trying to get ready for work or school in the morning.. It's happened to me before; I'd know.
Also, it's generally good to avoid going catabolic..
4000 calories a day? on a cut? how much you weighing now? seems like that is a lot!!! I'm around 180 pounds and only need like 3000 cals on a BULK!! I just started my cut this week and am scaling back to 2750 cals total. that is 225g protein, 350g carbs, 55g fats. either I am seriously underfeeding myself or your numbers are super high
@frontman84 Good point, hey would you mind giving me an idea of your meals. I'm looking for the same type of intake numbers and was wondering how different our meals are. If not all good as well.
56grams of carbs in that one banana ? Wow. I take it, if someone was hitting maintenance or perhaps undercutting calories then an Apple (aprox 232g size) would be a lot more ideal - seeing as they typically have around 20-30g carbs in them.....
The only concern I seem to have with fruit is the insulin spike and lack of appetite spike they cause with the sugars.
There is NO limit on how much protein the body can absorb in one sitting! You CAN take in all your daily protein in ONE single sitting if you so chose to! And yes, I was not awak, and misspoke on the fruit/protein LOL! The final numbers are all acurate though, and this diet can be found on Hunt-Fitness!
@scondore , idk bro, I hear a lot of things about how much u can take in. @BrandonAutiero GNC employee doesn't have a background in nutrition. The true limit is closer to what you can absorb the entire DAY as opposed to some random number.
@scondore I would say there is a limit due to the toxicity of the amino groups, the maximum intake is probably somewhere more like 80-100 grams (although your liver wouldn't be your best friend) rather than like 30ish people think
@scondore come one guys, its not as if nick doesn't know what hes doing i mean ermmm first teen on a magazine !! ses it all (and before i get corrected this is youtube not my english exam) NWB 4 life
why so much protein per meal? body can only use around 30g of it at one time..unless you are on steroids, in that case body can synthesize more protein at one time, around 50 and more... am I wrong about that?
@flexcuts ur a freaking idiot if you think your body can only "use" a certain amount of protein at one time. Your body will absorb 90+% of the protein you consume in 1 sitting and then it will break down as much of it as it needs for amino acids to repair your muscles. The rest is converted to carbohydrates and this "excess" will make your liver release triglycerides just as normal carbs would. THE MEDIA HAS BRAINWASHED PEOPLE INTO BELIEVING ALL THIS NONSENSE ABOUT MEAL TIMING TOSELL THEIR SHIT.
@mliniman Plase cite scientific references to this claim.
Use is a relative term. Also absorbition is part of digestion. Proteins can not and do not pass directly into the blood stream according to everything I've learned, they must have their large molcules broken down by enzimes starting in your stomach.
your body won't take in that much protein at once, at most it will take in 40g of protein ( when done working out ) which is when your muscles are craving the protein. The rest will just get urinated/ digested out.
