This role, is Richard Basehart at insidious, evil best! That cool, calm, modulated voice made that character so menacing. He was a master of his craft. So versatile.
Are there any American actors today who speak as beautifully as Richard Basehart & Arnold Moss. Well, there are a few who can and do speak beautifully, F. Murray Abraham for instance, but there aren't enough of them! It musn't become a lost art!

This movie is very strange. All kinds of weird shit goes on:
0:02 = Excedrin headache
0:09 = Munching on a quill pen (Fun w/ Feathers 101)
0:11 = Overtly 'masculine' statue of a naked dude clobbering something or someone
0:54 = "DON'T CALL ME MAX!" (I'll bet he prefers "Maxine.")
2:09 - 2:30 = Hart vs.Basehart verbal showdown
2:38 = The first pigeon thrown at the actors misses the windowsill completely.
3:36= Some of them get sniffed by "Maxine.".... (Fun w/Feathers 102)
