Don't know if it will sell that well, because they don't offer the Sonata in a V6 anymore, and even though we want better gas economy, people still want their V6's. I hope they have improved the suspension noise issue, and the ride, Also the previous generation Sonatas had issues with their timing belts not fitting right. Time will tell how this car does.

hyundai is way past GM in terms of quality and reliability, just some people only remember the hyundai of the 90s. GM could only wish their cars where as reliable as hyundais but for GM fans the truth hurts and will continue to hate.

The car is very beautiful. It seems Sonata is coming to Europe with the name Ix/40. I've been 'googling' and read that in some markets including UK, there is a plan to sell this sedan and a sportswagen. There'll be some changes in the looks.

You have to think about this - Hyundai is following Infiniti's act, not just in styling but in how they're rebuilding their product range.

It's brilliant. Give people the upscale swagger at Toyota prices. It would be one think if the cars stunk and the designs were a joke, but this time they really pulled it off.

Here's what really makes Hyundai different from Honda and Toyota now: They don't have a Luxury brand (Aucra and Lexus respctively) to worry about. So - they're just all-in with this.

Its not that it shows similarities, and its not coincidence either. Just look at the pattern. The Genesis coupe copied the Infiniti G37 coupe. It has almost the same body structure. And whenever you look on reviews about the Genesis coupe they are always comparing them to the Infiniti G37 coupe. I would appreciate the car if it wasn't taken from inspiration in other cars, they should have thought of a design that appeals and resembles to Hyundai not resembling the characteristics of another car.

some things can be coincidence. A body structure on one car may be similar to that of another car simply because when the company was designing it, they realized that structural build was the most efficient for the type of vehicle they were going for. Plus, you have no proof of a copy until the company say they've done it. If not, then you have nothing but the observations of a spectator, no proof. And there's a lot of people who agree with me. I love how Hyundai's mission is to copy Infiniti. You would think that if they where trying to prove themselves they would come up with their own ideas but they just seem to copy all the other luxury automakers. The Grill is straight up copied from Infiniti's FX crossover.The interior knobs such as the scroller and the LCD screen is taken directly from the G sedan.Not to mention the tail lights where copied from the 2011 Infiniti M. And last but not least the genesis coupe copied the G37 coupe.

The 2009 Infiniti FX has a "one of a kind grille" which is not seen on any other auto maker in the world. The luxurious Japanese architecture reflects onto the FX. Surely you can tell the resemblance between the 2011 Sonata's grille to the FX grille. They are uncanningly similar which only conceives my point that Hyundai has once again tried to take personality's from the Infinti's and portraying them as their own. See for your self.

I like this design better than the accord or camry , and i can see where it is somewhat similar from the side belt line on the vw cc but the cc front end just look like any other vw, but on this sonata it just look so aggressive and powerful, i look forward to test driving the turbocharged model when it comes out.
