This is amazing! I was looking for information like that for a while! Thank you so much for the video!. I'm the one who is doing all of the sitting mistakes! trying to sit straight, then slouching, almost sitting on my back.... Now I know what to do! Thanks again!
Chopin65 - good luck with that. Remember to relax once you align your bones. There's no need to "hold" the position. If you get on your sitz bones, your back muscles will be able to relax much more, and that should help. Also check that your keyboard isn't too high or too far forward.
I am a writer, and recently I injured my back exercising. Since then I have had trouble sitting at my desk and writing for more than an hour at a time. I will try out your suggestions. Thank you.
@paultheuglydog - Hi Paul, It may be that you are tightening your back when you try to "sit up straight." Did you try sitting like I showed in the video? If you aren't sitting on your sitz bones, that will make it impossible to hold the position comfortably for long. If your pelvis is tucked and you're sitting on the back of your pelvis (on your tailbone or sacrum), then your back will tend to collapse. So, get your sitz bones under you, then relax and let go of the effort. Hope that helps!
