This song touches this old man on so many levels, but most of all it fills my heart with equal amounts of both sadness and joy. So beautiful and amazing.
Lovely video to what I feel is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard. I always turn the lights out to hear it. It's the only song out of the thousands that I have to bring me close to tears.
@hippie1959 Thanks for the gentle words, It's a beautiful and haunting song...one of the songs I fell in love with at first hearing...and it's been one of my favorite ever since...
I believe that connecting with certain songs, is because we have the certain receivers within' us..that connect, happy or sad...it's a celebration of humanity...may we never be jaded, Amen!
Beautiful pictures... Definitely my personal favourite IG song, even though it lacks their usual vocal harmonies. So melancholic and heartfelt... They really must reconsider including it in their live sets.
@Cicilo1983 This was the first time I ever heard of them, it must have been '95, this was on a single (closer to fine)...at the time, it was just my type of tempo, music and mood...who am I kidding...it is still my kind of music :-)
Thanks for the comment...feel free to check out my other videos, you'll find the same mood, in different languages...enjoy
One of the best written songs I have ever heard. Timeless classic emblazoned onto my heart, forever. Thank you Indigo Girls.
