that is just the best sounding mini 2nd to my brothers rally mini. I just can't stop laughing on how good that sounds, I reckon you could push abit harder say get the revs up around the 7g mark cause I know theses motors can go a whole lot more than 5 to 6, tune it right you can get 8 9gs easy with a 5 speed dogbox with a 8 port cross flow alloy head.

These are so fun. I was at the 50th anniversary Mini races at BIR and the s/c Minis sounded like the Roadrunner when coming toward us. We might lose a little sound here, I think because he is decelerating right before he comes to the camera. Awesome car!

What supercharger is fitted?, ...I have a 1275cc engine rear-mounted in an open-frame, Dune-buggy, it's pretty quick already (stage 1), and weighs about 550kgs, I'm thinking it'll go a whole lot quicker, with a supercharger fitted... so I'd like to know which one would be best...

I think its a combination of straight cut gears and a supercharger, its definatly a straight cut 'box though

Your right! gearbox is mini spares evo diff with 3.44 final drive, straight cut drops 1-1, and minispares straight cut gearset. Gearing is a bit high for accelaration but engine does very well to pull the car up through the revs, gearing allows 115mph at 7500 rpm,engine will pull to 8000 but has done its best by 7500. This engine was built and dynoed by Nick Swift at swiftune and is very strong and could be made to give more power but i wanted it to be reliable and still use it hard,which i can.
