@wth767 Cameco was bought by John Deere many years ago. I've never seen a Deere two row. I know Cameco used to make 2 row's, but they abandoned them. I dont think they worked quite right and burned a ton of fuel. But I'm not positive about that, but I do know they haven't made them in years.
As far as I know, there were 2 that were built in use in Louisiana. I think there may have been a couple that was sent to South America in early testing but not 100% sure.
Dayum, that's a mean looking monster. I wonder why is it just parked now doing nothing? That can harvest acres of plantation in a day as oppose to hundreds of men doing it. But my question is, what happened to the juice? All is I see is pulp flying out.
Anyone know what happened to this harvester when La Cane went out of business? I was lucky enough to get to see it run once when they first tested it out.. I liked the different approach they took in it's design over the Cameco or Austoff type combine.
cameco and johndeere make two row combines now. we will see more of them in the next few years

Cane stalks are grinded at the mill to extract the juice. Check out my process of making sugar videos if you are interested.

depends if you get subsidised, than you can afford to use inefficient practice like the rest of the world as opposed to Australia.

As far as I know it's not used anymore. It's just sitting parked doing nothing.

That is really cool. It is one of the crops I have always wanted to see be harvested.
