Many of the wild horses of the world are also endangered, especially the ones living on small islands like the Greek Skyrian pony, or in places where people don't want them i.e. the Florida Cracker.

I hope I can make somebody a little happier by telling that the Gotland pony is represented by approx. 8000 individuals in Sweden and around some 350 in Denmark. Norway and Finland also have quite a number of them. How many I do not know. So .... let us hope that the breed survives. :-)

Why is it everyone hears about the Fell pony which is only At Risk and not the breed local to my area, the Dales pony, that one's Endangered and personally I think they're prettier. Although well done for showing off a Cleveland Bay, Critically Endangered breed and a very sweet breed to work with. Anyone that's interested equally rare are the Eriskay pony and the Suffolk Punch (one of my favourites).

The rarest horse breed in the world is the Abaco Barb. There are exactly 7 of them left, all located on a reserve in Abaco. If you want to know more about Abaco Barbs or any horses in particular then just ask cause I have my own horses. ^.^

the gotland ponies are adorable...my favorite is the Akhal-Teke...they have such long and narrow legs...they look soooo beautiful and majestic

there is A HORSE BREED THAT HAS ONLY 5 HORSE LEFT IN THE WORLD! JUST BECAUSE ONE GIRL HOPPED ON A WILD HORSE ANS IT BUCKED HER OFF AND SHE DIED THEY KILLED MOST OF THEM!! great video by the way

Lots of those breeds are fairly common here..O__o Gotland pony, fell pony, new foundland (or was it new forest? anyway, both are common) exmoor.. etc..

LOOK, I just made a video of what was in the show!!! And no, they are not common. There are only about 200 gotlands in the USA, and only about 200 or so exmoors in the WORLD. I don't know about the others. But please, don't post negative comments on my videos.

Clydsdales are NOT endanjered. My teacher even said so. She is teaching me all there is to know about horses.

WH00T! The Newfoundland pony is MINE! :D Yep that's my little Rocky, poor guy was really freakin out in the costume class, he didn't like the speakers at all, but the day before when I was riding him, he won a National Championship. Love my boyy.

Hey you own a newfie{newfoundland pony} have you ever been to the royal in toronto. the newfie i ride was there. I ride two newfies named cinder{stepping stones} and rosie{famous last words} the stable i ride at breeds them. they have a lot.

its a good film but that isnt it my be in amarica or wereever this took place but if you go to deven to exmoor youd know that that horse would not get throght registration but its still a good film though i like it im just saying that aint a pure exmoor pony.was that pony branded?

it's nice to see a video from the event! They were all such great horses.

a small correction - the label "Dartmoor" is on an Akhal-Teke foal.

The Akhal-Tekes are not in danger of extinction as they are being bred for racing in Russia and in the west they are being bought for eventing, endurance and all round horses.

I'm surprised those Caspian horses are still rare, they are the perfect children's "pony".

the studbook for the Akhal-Teke is closed and with proper management they should be fine. Especially as they are such talented horses, I think they will become quite popular. They are still considered endangered but not critical.

the akhal teke is one of my favorite breeds ever!! I love how slender and athletic they are!!! Did you know once, an akhal teke was on olympic show jumper?
