mr troccoli and his wife work out ay my gym everyday at 3am hes alot smaller but still in good shape also his wife always brings a heart defibulater maybe becuase of the accident somebody said in a preveous post does any onw know what happened i heart a chemical fire??
i hope people know how hard it is to have a body like that AND be a fireman...both take great dedication and a lot of one's time. he's around 50 now, no? how is he looking now? still a fireman? he could do some serious damage in master's competions.
And by the way, the Mr. USA Lightweight Men's division that Joey won here was the same year that Flex Wheeler won the entire show and received his pro card... at the final posedown, Joey had to stand onstage next to Flex (which in my opinion, was the best I ever seen Flex, even though he wasn't even pro yet)... I gotta say that Joey didn't look too bad at all standing next to Flex Wheeler since Joe brought the total package there that night... just an amazing job he did at this show!
Hey Lopehome, I must know you if you trained with Joe... if you trained with him in the late 80's, you must have worked out at Masters Gym with us too... anyway, this is Ralph who worked behind the counter on the weekends at Gold's Gym of Pembroke Pines, FL from 1990 to 1999, where Joe trained... Joe is a really good friend of mine, and one of the most REAL, intelligent, thoughtful, and sincere people I EVER met in my life... I was SO happy for him in 1992 when he won the Lightweight USA!
I worked and trained with Joe back in the late 80's-early 90's. Joe was always very modest and was very fun to be around. Joe ALWAYS looked like with a week or 2 of preperation he could be on form for any show!
Great all-around guy. Trained at my gym for years, always willing to help anyone and everyone. I heard he had a serious accident at the fire station about a year back, hopefully he's recovering I wish him well.
Joe does have an incredible physique for 5'3" man, at 154 #. As the annoucer said at the end of the video, Joe does have a perfect body. It would be interesting what this pwerhouse in '92 looks like today.

He would be about 47 years old now. I wonder if he is still on the Pembroke Pines Fire Department.
