  • is that really you mister nordine?...so fantastic to see you here, to hear you here!...introduced to your poetry in the early 80s by a girlfriend's friend who had you on reel to reel...glorious sound...the voice, the music, the thoughtful words....such clarity and reason not before known to me...you are again talking to me...only you are word jazz...of all those before, and since, only yours is the voice i hear...thank you for bothering with us. I wish you health and prosperity. Christmas 2011

  • I can't begin to express the wonderful world of influence Ken's work has had on me. His word jazz is unique in it's ability to really make you think and re-think. I found myself replaying one of his pieces in my head today ,and spending hours til I found it! It was Point of Time from Upper Limbo, and it's such a classic recording. I highly recommend his artistry to anyone who cares to find an exit strategy for apathy. Thank you Ken!

  • I associate this form with Beatniks but I'd kind of had a prejudice that Beatniks are pretentious. Love this!

  • bought that double set on blue Thumb back in the 70s - never been quite the same siince. I love the celebration of nuance and the little complexities that happen all around us unnoticed all the time. A unique and wonderful talent filling a crack somewhere between Jonathon Winters,Charles Mingus, and a soothing voice inside my hide. Thanks for the years of irreplaceable beauty.

  • Heard the Bob Edwards show today on XM and loved hearing you - alive and kicking and young as ever. Have loved your work for years. Thanks to Bob E and to you.

  • i first hear you on NPR Word Jazz in Illinois. Id stay up till midnight just to hear you. Youre voice always seemed to calm me from whatever was bothering me. thank you for your wonderous work

  • In my land, he is known as 'Neon Red Ink'.

  • Thanks for your kind words.

  • You are a genius, sir. There is no one like you in the known galaxy--and that's a good thing for Youtube and the rest of us earthlings.

  • This is SCARY

    and DARK!

Clearly it's New World Order PC propaganda from some vile, drug-addled Gomorrah like San Francisco! Disgusting. Next they'll tell us to grow gardens!

  • and the spider quoted me scripture at the screen door.

Days turn to night; lost more love than i ever thought i had in my sight. left alone. all along; only to wonder. which path i might eventually wander. ... rush back to get ahead of the pack. staring out at this ocean/ at the gentle rolling path of it's motion... no notion in my head. if i would return to this sea when i am dead..

Intsy teensy spider went up the water spout.

  • I've been a huge fan for years. I think I may pair down and become more compact. Like maybe a small window fan. Or a sweaty newspaper. Is there a K.N. piece called "the Manager"? I heard it years ago and it still resonates in my electric motor. Thanks for posting this. Great stuff.

  • "be glad about that, you rhyme with insider" - just wonderful stuff
