Yeah, but humans know better - this is the point. Even if you believe in eating meat, using animals for fur, whatever, there's no reason for unnecesarry suffering (kosher/hilal laws, ancient hunting rules). The bottom line is at the end of the day animals are living things and not things that exist for the convenience of human beings. I don't believe in animal suffering but even if you do, can you at least minimize it? Ted Nugent and a PETA member can find common ground.

These videos almost make me cry. Have you seen PETA's Meet you Meat? That is what made me become a vegan (no dead animals, animal milk, animal eggs, etc.) It is one of the best decisons I ever made. I still feel bad that this stuff happens, but at least now I know I'm not contributing. I also convinced my friend to become a vegetarian. Every little bit helps, I know some kids can't do it because their parents aren't supportive, but maybe take more veggies and less chicken next time you eat.

one big turnoff about vegan and some vegetarian products is that, vegetarianism being a big "green" trend and all, to feed the increasing demand for soy (for soymilk, fake meat, soycheese etc) they are clearcutting rainforests and killing any animals coming their way to make lands for soy crops.

I try not to eat the fake meat, but i do check my soymilk comes from n.america with soy crops raised in the same continent at least.

We don't use rainforest trees for paper. their tree is too hard. they are instead used for furnitures and stuff like that. And paper supply is actually fed largely by "farmed trees" especially for pulp production.

Anyways, it's important that you check where your soy comes from. i got sidetracked again.. hahah
