  • Learning to play is cool with vids like this, and a great teacher helps dividends :)

  • GREEN DAY!!!!!!!!

  • this might be in another lesson, but what about hitting the right strings. It looks like you are angling the pick to hit the right strings. Seems daunting to a beginner but I guess accuracy comes with lots of practice.

  • thanks feller for the useful video

  • Ok, good!

  • you're awesome man....there is no video better than this in youtube

  • Kinda strange teacher. He is misleading the novice players that a power chord is a quint/fifth interval when in fact it is a fifth + added the root note from the second octave! So he is wrong. Maybe he doesn't know that power chords are not real chords too...

  • There are three note powercords...

  • Ur awesome!!!

  • love the haircut as well as the great guitar lessons!!!

  • I always hit like 3 or more snears instead of just 2 >.<

  • AT LAST........ NOW I understand a little more! Thank you!

  • he doesn't say what tuning he is in and that's what i'm wondering...what tuning you play power chords in...i know they are mostly played in drop settings....correct?

  • @LDPQTnTX it's in standard tuning EADGBE From low E to High E

  • @LDPQTnTX no, power chords are played in standard tuning, or all the strings dropped on note,

so its either, eBGDAE or dAFCGD.

Drop d is a diff tuning and u generally bar the top 3 strings in that tuning- eBGDAD

  • This dude is awesome man

  • You're a really good teacher, mate. All your lessons are so well explained; you assume nothing and explain everything really well, nice and slowly. Your videos are very clear - I like the combo of video fretting hand, neck picture and tab. I've been playing a couple of years and have looked at some of your stuff along the way for a really good lesson.

  • People: for a power chord you need 3 fingers!

  • @pjmovielines No you don't.

  • That´s a really good lesson. Nice work!!!!

  • "Okay, goooooddd!"

  • The first proper video lesson I found. This is real good!
