i get around half to one hour depending on how hard i ride it,
ive never studied electronics so i cant answer your second question
i purchased a 1000w electric scooter and transfered the complete power system into a modified gwheel frame i had ,pretty simple really, the chinese scooter manufacturers did the hard stuff ! ive got a few others i will be doing soon too including a wireless model

How long could you drive it on a single charge? How you control speed? With voltage or impusle width modulation?
