the SNES was brilliant. Had the best music ,best platformers had street fighter 2, best controls and amazing graphics for its time. I want another DKC
The aquatic levels were the most memorable to me when I played DKC. Those octopi scared the hell out of me; but riding the swordfish and pawning the sharks made up for it. And look at the amazing background; that always captivated me when I played these levels.
I remember playing this for the first time. I stopped, stared at the background and listened. honestly the first time music has moved me. I must have been 9.
The thing that made SNES games so good -- and I say this seriously, I really do believe this -- was that they didn't have to make sense. Like, how are monkeys swimming underwater without some kind of breathing attachment? And yet by allowing it, you get a whole lot more variety in the game. The game is better for its illogical parts.
Exactly. Video games permits anything to exist, in any form. Like a movie, or better yet, a book. In my opinion, with more freedom than the first, but less than the last.
In the end, it's a great platform to stimulate one's imagination, and should be used that way. It's in the end, a product of the imagination of a group of inventive people.
OMG this song! when i played this when i was younger i dont know wat it was but it was very mezmorizing (spelling) i like it but then somthing i didnt like but crazy old
REALLY reminds me of some of the safer, down times/relax music in Resident evil 1. Will/ is there any RE1 music in this list? cause there was some great music in RE1!
I think that "remix," IIRC, was part of an official soundtrack available via NintendoPower. And you know, this and the Megaman compilation videos makes me want to open a VG-themed nightclub.
"Dr. Wily's Castle," anybody? :) I really *would* take over the world - if only for awhile.
As much as that does sound cool idea, i'd bet the club would smell like feet, and a lot of people holding the wall and fixtures. Game players may be better looking, but they still do not have game, ask Kevin Pereira.
this is a very beautiful game. the graphics are so artistic, there better than some of the games today. the music clears out my head and makes me relax and feel good for a while. the game itself is extreemly fun to top it off. good choice, good choice.
Seems to be working now

I would completely agree that SNES was the FIRST Golden Age, there will be another soon I'm sure.
PsilocybinNinja 3 years ago
The whole point of Golden ages is that they only happen once. If there will be another Golden age, it'll be for a different generation.
