Globalization is one of many forces, which have led to the current crisis in Mexico. I might mention the NAFTA (which is hardly Free Trade), and the mistakes of US foreign policy in the past decades.

I have heard that there are people in USDoS, who wish to correct those mistakes.

I have no useful information, on what is happening in Costa Rica.

@MichaelCollinsDC Thanks Michael. There has always been a topsy-turvy sense in all of this, that we can't quite tell whether we're talking about Mexico, or the United States or elsewhere.

Towards the end of part 2 in English, I'll comment again after that is up.
