I love this guy all my life and going to see in Liverpool really looking forward to it. But I would be devastated to travel n pay for the insult to be spit upon. I hope that was a one off?? Cos I really admire how Adam has beaten so many demons but he needs to show love back to his fans that we show him. Rock on Adam love n respect my hero
I agree.. I have liked Adam from the late 70s. Didn't actually get to see him in his prime time sort of speak but at last was surfing the internet and saw tickets for sale for these two shows so I bought a ticket for the 1st night the 26th for £50. Travelled down from Newcastle upon Tyne especially and was so dissapointed got half a show for the moneys worth really a load of covers.. didn't even sing stand and deliver never mind others.. but on a good note did a couple from the Dirk album
I agree - the swearing, spitting and abuse spoils it to a certain extent and I was also disappointed with the second half being cover versions. I was there on 27th.
I went to a couple of the Scala gigs as well.
I've got the 'Prince Charming Review' and 'Live in Tokyo' on VHS and I wish he'd perform like he did in those concerts back in the 1980s, instead of the 1970s 'punk with attitude' act.
I've been a fan for over 30 years and that hasn't changed despite my gripes :o)
Having said all of that, I've waited over 30 see Adam live again and part one of the concert was really good (ranting aside). Boz Boorer and the current line up were really tight and Adam was in great vocal form. So overall it was still a good night.
Not coming on stage until 9:45 was really punk rock too - not!!! The fact the second set was then cut short as a result meant we were short changed with tickets at £50 a pop, As you've already mentioned, to get five cover versions at the start of part 2 rather than more of his own stuff was just plain daft. The last punk rocker stuff was actually very sad to see as was his belief that an audience with an average age of 45-50 was going to spend the night pogoing!! The hips won't take it!!
Adam "I'm short of dosh" Ant cashes in with a pub band who can't play. Um, yeah brilliant

I would be mighty upset paying for a ticket and getting spit on. I think I will stop watching these and just remember Adam as he used to be. Sad
