Its propaganda because the battles depicted in the movie are historically flawed- I.e Russian's defeating the Polish army outside on the plains of Moscow and the siege of some walled city where the Poles are gallantly thrown back by Russian peasants. They also make it seem like 1612 was some huge year where the Poles were routed where in actuality the war persisted until internal conflict caused the Poles to withdraw, still having conquered a huge part of Russia.

ten reżyser naprawdę za bardzo przegiął pałkę. Angielscy łucznicy zawsze przed deszczem zdejmowali i chowali ją. A tutaj koleś nie dość, że zamacza cięciwę całkowicie, to jeszcze strzela spod wody. Śmiało można porównać ten film do polskiego wiedźmina.

The Poles have made the film "Fire and Sword" showing where Khmelnytsky Uprising in Ukraine, and this movie I liked because it was objectively showed the victory ... In the preview to the whole movie it is said that it is quite far away from real events & is fictionalised, which we can see). To b honest I dunno who directed it... Of course it's propaganda.
