does anyone have the lyrics of this song? and it would totally rock if i could get a translation, because i would like to know what this song is about :] ty
Hi, the song is about a Jack the Lad guy who goes to the pub having fun and drinks every Saturday from dawn to dusk. He is there for the whole day not wanting to go home just dance and drink with nice girls dancing, gypsies playing music. When he runs out of money at dawn he decides to go back home but upon returning he gets kicked out by his wife as it's the wife who wears the trouser for real. He sleeps with his suitcase under his head and feels lost and ridiculous.
@nothke Thanks for the info,I was researching last week and i found his brass orquestra and another group called fanfare ciocarlia, but still i havent found something that sounds like this.
@chiefindisguise Yes, Boban comes from Serbia, Fanfare is from Romania, there is also German DJ "Shantel" who combines this music and electronic, there is also Esma Redzepova (check her out as well)
The music genre is called (on wikipedia) "Balkan Brass Band" (we just call it "Trubači" which means "trumpeteers"), and its very popular in Serbia (where I come from), and the rest of the balkans, and also some in Turkey..
@chiefindisguise There is also huge festival in Serbia focused on this music called "Guča", where the best trumpeteers compete for the title of "best orchestra in the world", and its very popular with foreigners .. (something like Balkan Oktoberfest)
@nothke Hey man thanks to the info you gave me some hours ago i searched Boban Markovic's discography and there i found karavan's whole album,it was a colaboration between boban and karavan.I appreciate your help im very grateful,I love balkan folk music its beatiful.
@chiefindisguise It's "Boban Markovic" (search on wikipedia), a trumpet playing band, the language is Gypsy.. Search also for things from Goran Bregovic like "kalasnjikov"

@boykesvriendin See the meaning translated above. The literal (word by word) translation would not have make sense in English.
