  • It's slow because it hasn't got used to it but when he does then he'll be faster

  • the conehead model. lol

  • i checked out the website and of all the walking nao's i seen this one is the cheapest its like 5999.00 or something like that for one

  • Can the knee movement support the weight of nao, maybe can improve movement

  • You should have it race race a turtle

    5 days later... lol

  • ba a la velosidad de un pero ...

  • muy lento, no lo compro

  • @2gogy a lo mejor con un chile en el culo saltaria de dos en dos

  • Go faster its so slow haha but its cool

  • Don't laugh about Robots rheumatism.

  • And it's one small step for machine. One gaunt leap for mankind.

  • Haha, I read the coment about the rangefinder, but didn't think it'd look like that! Nice hat!

  • Faster!!!!!

  • @mjcb1981 If fast enough, it'll become terminator :D

  • It's so cute!

  • He looks like he's sneaking up the stairs. Now I imagine he's going to brandish a knife and stab me in my sleep.

  • If I ever find myself being chased by a terminator, I'll be sure not to take the elevator

  • someone will go too far with this once

  • How did you teach it to go up the stairs ?Rlearning or hardcoded ?

  • I guess thats the latest version.

  • What if it shows me the middle finger?if it even has some -_-

  • Looks like he's followed through on a fart and is trying to get to the bog without it touching cloth! Lol. We've all been there folks!!!

  • so thats what that thing does now im going to buy it because of that.

  • climbing stairs is an extremely hard task for a robot! people underestimate it... I think this robot is extremely well done!

    ps nice hat lol

  • @yamenhawit i know it is really hard, stairs have been a big problem for robots just ask ED 209

  • I could punt it up the stairs faster than it could walk..

  • chrrrrpzzhh... hmh?

  • Like the first Home Computers. In the next 10 to 15 years these things will be so advanced everyone will have a robotic personal assistant.

  • @EuroSon99 i think it will be too expensive most people will not be able to afford it

  • @EdasLT, People will probably pay good money for something that can do potentially so many things. The prices will go down enormously with more units sold as well. Just look at the price reductions of Laptops, LCD screens, Mobile phones, Memory cards etc..etc.. over the years. In the first years you had to pay 12.000 Euro for a plasma screen. Now you can buy an LCD for 200 Euro`s.

  • @EuroSon99 true, but latest models of pretty much everything always cost quite a lot

  • u just need to make it a bit faster, its amazing

  • "Shhh, be very quiet or you'll wake them!"

  • good job!

  • looks like MEGA MAN

  • i was expecting it to say "i need help"

  • @lukeape1 yeah that totally true but still i would like to buy one

  • The Nao costs 18,000$ dollars, and it can't climb stairs on it's own, the OS that comes with it is some piece of work. This thing has been on the marked for more than 3 years, and the price hasn't gone down, yet. Aldebaran is a filthy lying company wich will go bankrupt after honda comes up with a smaller version of its robot !

  • did he died on the stairs ?

  • Aww, he seems to be struggling, but I am sure with more use and research, he will be able to do it easily.

  • thats mad, i thought only asimo could climb stairs!

  • He is suffering. Please someone kill him to put and end to his misery.

  • whats with the helmet? others dont have that

  • 10yrs later XDD

  • 2 questons with this robot; is it being sold in homes today?

    And what is it's purpose

  • Just kidding, nice work

  • He climbs the stairs like a f.a.got or he crapped his pants. You are wasting your time guys

  • Nice

  • This is a customized version of the Nao humanoid with a Hokuyo laser range finder integrated in its head. There will be some details in our upcoming publication "Humanoid Robot Localization in Complex Indoor Environments" at IROS 2010.

  • WTH is on its head?

  • what the hell is on his head??

  • This concept of robot is already old in compare with many other new things for humanoid robots. I know how to improve them faster... And I also have a strategy to put them faster on the markets... (also for space exploration and other artificial intelligent systems). In many aspects you are losing time in my point of view... because of not having a complete strategy. I know how to lead the technologies; if you are interested let me know....

  • That's so crazy that those are sold to homes soon O_o I'm not sure are Naos already sold somewhere

  • Superb!

Nice "laser-hat" , very trendy ... It's like a baby trying to climb stairs!

Keep up the good job! I'll keep my eyes on you! :)

  • Cute the turtle in slow motion...
