seem like Chinese lanterns to me and with the amount of Chinese restuarants around there and that being that it was boxing day, seems like the plausible choice to me

I saw at 9.15pm on boxing day 2008 over Southcote Reading Berkshire. 2 orange lights traveling about 100ft. There were aircraft around flyin g into Heathrow airport.
These wern't aircraft. they were traveling south towards the M4. Both firey orange.
One slowed down to let the other cathch up and then the orange burned out into a white light as they became smaller and dissapeared.
4 people in the street saw them and another in Tilehurst. Wish id videod them
