@SoxGrrl312 I am extremely saddened to say that Caplin Rous lived only 3.5 years. He died suddenly of chronic liver damage but we don't know why. I have started a charity to fund research on capybara veterinary care called The ROUS Foundation, you can read about it on my blog. However, in general, capybaras are said to live 12-14 years in captivity.

In you country you have many cats, dogs, rabbit, etc, need love and a family.

Purchased animals suffer for the transport, on farms suffer selections, those "bad" are killed and the females are used for procreation to death...

the first female was little and the owner had a little bit too much guinea pigs (about 6) and the final female whas a show guinea pig, basically we saved her from the dullness of contesting!

Caplin has a couple of people that he hates and he would bite them if he could. However, he is normally super -gentle. I had him at an elementary school yesterday and 100 1st-graders must have pet him. He was absolutely calm the whole time.

Well judging on your hamster (?) bark I figure mines is. My male dog has a higher pitched bark which I find adorable since my female dog has a lower pitch bark. It's good that your Caplin doesn't yap away though lol

We actually love his bark. He does it a lot when he's happy and excited. At night he sometimes runs up and down the hallway going "bark, bark, bark!" and shaking his head. That is totally cute. Maybe someday I'll get it on video.
