  • @turbo05gt lmao Google x charger dyno results and you'll see. Many people have 325+rwhp in their sixxers. Mine is x charged and putting about 285rwhp. With an x charger you should be able to easily walk 05-10 mustang GT's and still beat mildly modded GT's. 300rwhp in 100 degree weather? A) that's super hard on an engine if your beating on it when it's that hot out and b) you realistically have 310rwhp with the temperature conversion. The 99-04 v6's are by far slower than the s197's

  • Haha yea right! Your v6 makes 300rwhp? Really? So it's underrated 100hp? Your top stupid to be commenting. Even a brand new v6 won't have 300rwhp, more like 265. Nice try but others know way more about cars for that bs. Ps I have a 05 gt with full exhaust, cai, 3.55, dyno tune and made 300rwhp/320tq on a 100 degree day. I also had a 2000 v6 so know the difference and I'd kill my old car by about 8-10 lengths in less than a 1/4. But just maybe you have the only super v6 ever made!?

  • @MrGeawut91 Those dyno numbers are uncorrected. mine also got 301 rwhp. His was done in a shop w/o controlled environment. mine was done in a shop with climate control.

  • I have a paxton novi 1200, vortech intercooler, Pacesetter long tubes, h pipe and race cats, borla mufflers running 8lbs, I get almost 340 at motor, 305 rwho, 302 rwtq, Now speed limited to 155. Was done at Shelby American Las Vegas. You can do internals to protect the motor and or help safely make more power. My car and the shelby v6s are stock internals. one way or another its fun boosted.

  • did you put on a new rear end or no?

  • my x-charger got over 300 hp 320+tq on the first dyno.. try putting a 8.8" rear end on and try, <-- From Dallas, TX tuner DallasMustang

  • did you not upgrade your rear axle to the 8.8?

  • So I respect your opinion on mods for the Mustang. I'm debating between the X-Charger kit or just getting a turbo for it. What's your take? I'm looking for a fast 1/4 mile time preferably no more than 10 seconds. The only thing I've really done for my engine is just a cold-air intake which isn't virtually anything. I also plan on replacing the hood with a carbon fiber hood and change the stock 40lbs driveshaft to a 14lbs one. Idealy it's to just make the car lighter.

  • For those 1/4 mile times I suggest a turbo kit. Mike from powerhouse auto in Girard PA told me he can get 11's out of his turbo kit last I talked to him. I'm sure you could do a few things to shave that extra second off. To contact powerhouse go to powerhouse411 on google

The X-Charger kit you can optimistically expect 12-13's right now. The intercooler for the kit will change that.

  • i just ordered the powerhouse turbo for my v6 he said to project to run in the 10s with just a few mods so yea i talked to mike today so it might have changed

  • i gotta say, i'm a chevy man, but i can respect the never ending quest for a v6 to out perform our v8 older brothers. v6 all the way

  • What did your HP go up to? I am debating if I want to put this on my car. The car top end with the computer limiter is what? 118 - 120 mph? I would want more top-end but I dont know how to change the computer to fix that and then what would be the point in the x-charger ya know?

  • My car is 275RWHP(rear wheel horsepower) with the superchager on it. Quite a big difference from the 190RHWP the car has stock. Thats roughly 10 more RWHP than a stock mustang GT.

The Speed limiter can be removed with a computer tuner, and its unbelievably easy to do. You just plug the tuner into the ODBII port located right above the pull handle that pops your hood. You can buy the x-charger supercharger kit with an x-calibrator 2 tuner that will remove the speed limiter.

  • @ancapaaron actually, brand new the GTs of 05-09 that ive tested made roughly 270-280rwhp, but those were the ones with the 3.55 or 3.73 gear ratios, i ended up selling my bullitt project car and bought a V6 project car, i have to say, for 210bhp they pull pretty decently

  • Yes change the fuel filter. Second check your spark plugs.

  • I haven't actually run 1/4 mile yet. Once I feel that its safe, I'll do so. On the high end I'm having trouble with the fuel pump keeping up with the injectors. Or at least thats what I think, it might be a fuel filter issue. At current I'm estimating 12's...... I wont know for sure until I go to the track.

  • good but it is a v6 go gt or cobra

  • You're ignorant

  • Yeah its the typical "Its got 8 cylinders so its better" BS. Yet a s197 GT only displaces about 600 more cc's than the v6 mustang of the same year. The v6 costs less, and if you put the money you saved back into the car via mods like F/I(etc etc) you'll be making up that 600cc difference and then some. So for roughly the same price you'll have something better with a little work.
