I was 6 when this was shown on itv, it has always stuck in my mind. Rippers alter ego with the armer and the sword remember that well.

I was 8 when this came out .nobody remebers it .He wants to go up in the lift but ends up going down .Those in thr real world above ground are mirrored in the fantasy world below.Thats all i can remember .Very odd

this is the one. in 1977 I was sent to boarding school for a decade in east lancashire, facing pendle hill with fagging and choirs etc. I remembered this as some kind of lift going down, faster and faster and passing the ground floor with that nursery rhyme being sung ever more intensely. children of the stones, that was another spooky intro.

as soon as the theme tune came on I new I was in for some grade A 70s weirdness.

There were some real top actors in this! We took this stuff for granted I suspect back then, wonder whether they'd be allowed to do this now. Bob and Dave's most famous creation, Dr.Who's K9, got ressurrected for an ultra-friendly kids' show, but I bet this wouldn't !!!
