I apologize for offending anyone but I think Chrono Trigger is overrated and is definitely not the best RPG of all time let alone the best game of all time. To the people who played this when it came out or as a kid, then it's understandable why you'd think it's one of the greatest games ever. We all think the first games we played or played as a kid were awesome. For it's time it was an excellent game. But compared to some modern games, it just isn't worthy of the title. It's just nostalgia.

Why I have beaten that gave well over 9000 times. I know that Chrono talks in one of the endings. This is my CHILDHOOD! You can't take that way from me! This is the shear epic-nes of ALL rpgs. You don't have to play through the WHOLE game to get the different endings. Just head back to the Millennial Fair at key points in the game on new game + and beat Lavos. You can even beat him at the very beginning of the game (it will be just you and Marle) and get an interactive ending.

I love this game..but im stuck at a point the point i was stuck at was when i was in those sky lands..i couldnt beat the golem boss and i died so the portal was sealed and currently im stuck there and im having trouble beating the sand enemy in 600 A.D T_T

1.) The game is awesome.

2.) This reviewer is horribly misinformed.

Example: Lucca and her father are not showing off "time gates", but "teleportation" gates. Example: That guy isn't always right on who will win. Example from his endings: Endings are not decided by specific characters, but by specific points in the game.

Only call it quits on SNES. You don't get the added benefits you do in later versions if you see all the endings. Memorable scenes? Like...I like running into walls?

Chrono trigger was an awesome SNES game. with some of the best soundtrack available. Ah good times. If it wasnt so ancient, I would play it again and again. Clocked in over 250 hours in 1996.
