shame on queen Wilhelmina whoem ordered the strikes that causes this misery,while she was sitting on her f*t ass in the UK.I do respect the danish king Christiaan.He did not fled,but stayed in his own country.He even preventin' the danish jews for waering the famous yellow star.

Thank you for this incredibly poignant photography. My parents and their families survived this hongerwinter. My Mother's family hid Jews and she was with the resistance. Both my parents nearly starved to death and I don't believe they ever truly recovered from the war.

They immigrated to Canada with 3 little girls and I was one of them:) I love my Dutch Heritage!

My mother was just ten at the end of the war. She still remembers the smell of cooked flowerbulbs. She still has to puke when people speak about it.
