That's awesome. I live on the island and I wanted to see if I could go on a ride along. I've been on one with the RCMP in my town.

fyi BC Ambulance does ride a longs as well. Ièm booked for one after the olympics. I didn't know that the RCMP did ride a longs I've always been told no LOL

Depends what RCMP station you go to. my city isnt busy so thats why they can take you.

Kind of, depends on your luck with the straw. Depends who you ask and how cooperative they are. I have done 3. What an experience. you value what these men and women do more after seeing and feeling it first hand. Vancouver, New Westminster have ride along programs but like I said it depends on which officer you ask. GOOD LUCK ;)

I know I think only VPD use it. They usually use it to clear intersections and they use in downtown a lot. It's a neat setup they hit the steering wheel and the tone switches it's pretty cool.
