Well I got a 90 Mustang GT that outruns plenty of neons. I even had one neon I raced in Fayetteville pull ask me to pull over cause he thought my car was turboed. It freaked him out cause when the light changed, I punched it did a couple tire chirps and left him by 3 car lengths by the time he got going. When I did pop the hood for him he just shook his head and said it was the only mustang gt that ever left his car and he would remember the car...lol

Ok so a stock neon can do a 14.2 in a quarter, a 90 mustang gt does it in like 14.1 (stock for both cars). Bring you're car to florida and bring a bus ticket for the trip back. My car is no where near stock. P.S. anybody want a srt4 after this guy looses his, I got 4 vehicles I don't need another.

@cq90stang actually i take that back. i wouldn't waste the gas or time to race a 15 second riced out rust bucked like that. your car is painfully slow; oh and by the way, good job on putting the headers on but leaving the stock intake stuff on. having the factory intake on it makes that MSD ignition system/headers as useless as tits on a boar; you have to pull MORE air into the engine before headers and ignition make a difference... but im sure u knew that already...

@cq90stang my car was on a low boost break-in tune as well (i had just put the turbo on as well as the clutch). i ran the vette about 3 weeks later after i got my car tune with race gas and put 2 lengths on him by 140 mph. i was also suckered into this race (i was told that it was a non-supercharged Cobra. it definitely wasn't. it was turbo'd). these are all friends of mine.

@rugbyguitargod Not once did I cut your car down, but you just auto assume that no mustang will out run an SRT4. While my car isn't 900 horsepower it is fast enough to outrun a stage 3 SRT4 from a dead stop. I have the satisfaction of knowing that I've outrun a quite a few SRT4 neons that were stock. Generally I don't even race a 4 cylinder or a 6 cylinder car, usually it is someone that just keeps revving at a stop light, and then we see what happens.

That's the current-gen v6 mustang times, by car and driver. Those are the fastest times I could find for that car. By the way, that's the fastest 6-cylinder mustang ever made, so no matter what year you have, it's worlds slower than a "Neon" SRT4. In fact, my friend's 1998 neon r/t will probably beat you, unless you have a 2005+ mustang v6. Do numbers and power to weight mean anything to you, moron of all morons?

Lets see, when a rwd car launches it pushes all its weight to the rear wheels. Search on here for some muscle cars, and watch there noses lift as they launch. All a fwd car has is its nose weight to put weight on the tires. Fwd cars are driven more in the element as there more common. @mercarian7 the only time the weight shifts to the rear is when you are running drag shocks. Mustangs have like 60%+ of the weight on the front axle. 40% on the rear. Front wheel drive cars are made because they are cheaper to make that way. Clearly you have never driven a rear wheel drive car. I'll drive a front wheel drive all day in the snow. (ever notice people put sandbags in pickup trucks when it snows)...that's because no weight is on the rear
